  1. Are you suggesting that you wouldn't send Bartolo Colon on a ball hit to Roberto Clemente?
  2. Game thread accountability is important!
  3. And... they're back in business. Good to see that the bats made their way to Chicago for tonight's game.
  4. We are Groot. A full game thread of this would be entertaining and awful all at the same time.
  5. Some days you have it, some days you don't. Sometimes that's all the more complicated it is.
  6. Definitely more of a gentleman's game prior to the 1870s, wasn't it? We should ask Chief what that was like!
  7. Rocco can't watch his pitchers AND your ham sandwich, Cory! That's what assistant coaches are for!
  8. Welcome back, Louie! Best of luck this evening! Hopefully the bats help you out.
  9. The hindsight factor is strong here. If Ryan gives up that HR, then we'd be sitting here railing Rocco for not pulling Ryan. Rocco can't win in this scenario. Secondly, the pitch that was hit out was in the RH batters box. That's not a pitch to hit, let alone hit out. That's quite the adjustment for a batter to make. Even moreso to actually keep it fair. That ball will hook foul 9 times out of 10. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the opponent. It's not like that ball was hung out over the middle of the plate.
  10. Welcome to TD! I have yet to find a bad place to sit for a concert there. They do a pretty good job with the acoustics, so if the music is more important, I think you'd be fine getting seats somewhere in your price point comfort zone. I'm a fan of the Club level because you're straight on for the stage and the seats are cushioned. It's further away, but it's a good spot to sit comfortably for a long period of time.
  11. Yup. The joys of a team sport.
  12. In fairness, I would have liked to see that done anyway. No hindsight there, just want to get a run across with the bottom of the order up.
  13. Me too. Makes making chicken dinner a bit more time efficient.
  14. Had to be here earlier... Lots of recycled material in today's thread.
  15. Little did you know that it was the bear that out that sign out!
  16. Nothing makes me happier than a leadoff walk to start the bottom of the 9th in a tie game...
