    But you do need hindsight to know what will and what won't work. There's nothing wrong with the move, Ryan allowed a base runner in a one run game and late. That's a move most teams make.

    Now here's something I never thought I'd read in a game thread. Someone praising Mauer's approach? Not a bad idea. It obviously worked for him. Not sure if it would in today's game or for everyone, but it certainly did for him.
