    Out of my entire post you pick this to respond to? The fact remains that it made sense for him to identify with Puerto Rico and want to play for their team, and that MLB encouraged this. It also makes little sense for the Twins to "punish" a player who has a reputation for being a very hard worker at his craft.

    This seems like speculation to me. I have seen nothing confirming that Berrios is being "punished", and it seems more plausible to me that he is being held down due to concerns about his development. If the FO felt that Berrios was ready, then I doubt that they would hold him back to punish him. Such punishment would hurt the Twins as much or more than it would hurt Berrios. I also see no reason for Berrios to apologize for wanting to play for his national team. As others have stated, the official position of MLB is to encourage such participation, and so long as he was doing his work I don't see why he needed to do all of it in Fort Meyers. Also, everything that I have read has suggested that Berrios is exceptionally diligent in his training and devotion to becoming a better player.

    It seems to me that Trump embraced single payer when he told the Australian Prime Minister that the Australian system is better. For fun, maybe the Democrats could propose the Australian system. I personally like the system in Israel, because it has some competition.

    What if they at least developed and proposed a plan that the public could consider?

    I believe that you are correct about needing only 50 votes in the Senate, so long as this qualifies as a budget reconciliation bill, which I believe that it is. I respectfully disagree about the Democrats supporting no version of this. I think that the Democrats should offer a compromise in the interests of the people who will suffer and die if this is left to the Republicans. Yes, the Democrats may gain politically when tens of thousands of people start dying because of the final bill. Yes, many of those deaths will include Trump voters and also people who did not vote at all. Yes, there is karma in that. But I think that the Democrats need to rise above politics and make a fair effort to at least offer a compromise, because that's the right thing to do as human beings.

    It appears from looking at gameday that the Twins were doing OK until Belisle came in.

    I just got back from a Bernie Sanders speech. It appears that this was not a fun game to watch.

    I am glad to be at the office today and not watching this mess. I am hoping that tomorrow Buxton and Dozier are healthy and that the Twins avenge today's loss. To make up for today, they will chase Sale in the first inning and Santana will throw a perfect game.

    I am willing to buy them a big screen TV if the owners will pay to make the wall safe. I have said this before -- with Buxton out there the wall should be made ultra-safe.
