  1. How is that better than sharp cheddar?
  2. I think that's called a Petfecta.
  3. I see good arguments on both sides of this. At the moment those arguments are being swept away by the sweet joy of being back in this game.
  4. We really liked this museum -- http://www.mnhs.org/millcity
  5. Moderator note -- I hope that everyone has read RB's game thread opener for yesterdays game. If you have not read this already, I recommend that you do so now. We are trying to change the tone of game threads to reduce the rough edges a bit, and it takes a village to have really good game threads. Please work with us on this.
  6. Very tough loss, but Romero and Kepler were excellent.
  7. There are only two bad things about SC: 1. traffic. 2. RB lives too far away,
  8. When I coached little league we had a Dodgers' pitcher come teach all of the coaches about how to teach kids how to pitch. He asked for volunteers to catch him and my hand went up first. Later he told me that he was throwing "only" about 80 MPH. To me it seemed a lot faster. Catching is not easy.
  9. Sano was not in the top 5 players who I would want to make that catch.
  10. This is it -- just come back when the game starts.
  11. I enjoyed the article linked below about Buxton. As you can see, the Twins and lots of other folks seem to think that he could be a hall of fame level player, but he has a lot to prove, especially at the plate. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/2777166-byron-buxton-has-99-mph-arm-21-mph-speed-448-foot-power-and-a-lot-to-prove?utm_source=cnn.com&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=editorial
  12. Thanks Ted. I appreciate the work that went into this report. You made it easy to get the highlights and you packaged them well.
  13. I don't disagree, but would note that Buxton has shown flashes of a very high ceiling, and some established major leaguers (like Lynn) have also played poorly for long stretches. I would think that lots of teams would be willing to trade a lot for Buxton.
  14. It was a great game to see in person. And a happy drive home.
  15. No. We I went to dinner with a fellow moderator (and Joey) and we got back in time for the 9th inning. Perfect timing.
  16. I was at the game on Thursday night and the Angels' third baseman was playing him deep. Any decent bunt towards third base would have been an easy single. Instead Buxton flailed and failed.
  17. Huge win for the good guys!
  18. Another great intro by RB. I threw out my back last night, but with the aid of muscle relaxers I hope to be at the game tonight.
