  1. This seems like a good time to put Butera in to catch to give Doumit a bit of rest, and to put Matstro in left field to let Willingham rest.
  2. Thanks!!! Please keep these reports coming for those of us who are still at our offices.
  3. Despite the lead, I am hoping for lots more hits and runs so that we can tire out the Indians' bullpen for the rest of the series. I would like to see Chief Wahoo pitch the last 3 innings.
  4. Possibly Ryan may plan to use some of these players as trade bait over the winter to get more pitchers.
  5. At the moment there don't seem to be very many alternatives. It will be nice if P.J. Walters can come back.
  6. I am just glad that the sweep in Boston is still on the table. Now we need RUNS.
  7. This is a good thing. We all enjoy this site and I am happy to give back something as a token of my appreciation.

    My First Blog.

This is a good first blog, Scott. Welcome.
  9. I am glad that someone is including Deduno. Yes, he might flop, but tonight he looked like the real thing.
  10. Getting back to Deduno, here is a link to his lifetime stats. Yes, he has always given up a lot of walks and his WHIP has never been great. But he seems to have always been hard to hit. Maybe being in the big leagues will inspire him to make the transition from good to great. Diamond and Plouffe, and now Deduno. These are three players who could turn out to be very valuable.
  11. Thanks for your hard work in writing this excellent report.
  12. I agree and I would submit that Deduno and Butera deserve a lot of praise for their performances tonight.
  13. Maybe the Twins could make a contract with the Mayo clinic to provide medical personnel?
  14. It seems to me that you have achieved all of your goals and then some. Thanks to all of the creators of this site.
  15. Great report. I am glad to see Rosario back in Beloit and doing well at the plate.
  16. This is a great post my friend. I would suggest a possible addition: e. Hoping that another starter or two can rise to the top. Deduno may have the highest ceiling due to his natural curveball, but there are other candidates as well -- Hendriks, DeVries and Walters.
  17. Another insightful analysis. I just hope that the White Sox don't read this.
  18. I hate losing to the White Sox more than any other team, and I hate the fact that they now have 3 former Twins stars who are playing well for them.
  19. I think that Bert gets paid extra to say stuff like that.
  20. Ryan may have been doing both when he agreed to the trade.
  21. It would be more consolation if a foul ball would hit Ryan in the nuts.
  22. I doubt that ANY team would take on Blackburn's contract, even for a bag of (old yellow) baseballs. But I don't hate Blackburn. I think that he is trying his best.
