    Finally the Twins are having a game worth watching and I forgot to set the damn DVR.

    I would love to see this trade, but suspect that the Nationals would say no.

    Richard sounds good. My focus was on trading lower level prospects for similar prospects, but I would be happy to trade an outfield prospect and something else to get Richard.

    Twins lasted 8 pitches that inning. How bad can this get?

    The A's are a very small market team. Why not offer every one of their scouts and talent evaluators $10,000 more than they are making now, then clean house? The A's always seem to have solid pitchers. The Twins could too at a cost that would be less than 10% of what they blew on Marquis.

    In the real world you win a headache. But if there was justice, you would win a weekend in Vegas with that weather girl, so that you could forget this crapfest.

    Maybe the Twins are like an alcoholic -- they need to hit bottom before they get better. Getting swept like this by the A's is like waking up with your car crashed into a police station and you are covered in vomit.

    This would be a better telecast if they would devote 95% to that blonde weather girl and interrupt only occasionally to check in on the game.

    I think that the intended message was that there are people who are even more desperate for success than the Twins.

    I agree. At this point I would rather see Butera start a game than Duensing.

    The disappointment would be more tolerable if SOMEONE were to be fired, even if it's only TC Bear.

    And we are lucky that it was not worse. Duensing got out of the inning with bases loaded.

    Agreed. Yet they keep sending him out there hoping for a different result.

    Here we go again -- Twins look like they will give up runs in top of 1st inning.

    I recently blogged about a possible trade with the Padres, and identified two young starting pitchers who they might be willing to trade. But I am not sure why the Padres would want Blackburn, unless they are looking at him as a very poor man's Carl Pavano. Here is a link to my blog.

    Perhaps. But I am glad for the original post. It has provoked an interesting discussion. And from reading twinswon's other posts, I believe that he is sincere and not a "troll."

    What it says to me is that players are not producing with men on base, and that although the players may be trying their best, a losing mentality is holding them back.
