  1. I found a website on this and it's a little worrisome -- http://sportsmedicine.about.com/od/kneepainandinjuries/a/IT_Band_Pain.htm Hopefully the training staff is up to speed on this, and can refrain from its customary use of leeches and voodoo dancing.
  2. Nice post. I am sorry to hear of the flooding, but glad that the Twins are giving you so much enjoyment.
  3. Good one, Mr. Lounge. I think that Plouffe might also help. He could introduce Liriano to Veronica's sister.
  4. Thanks. It sounds like it may take a while to close that gap.
  5. I am hoping that Deduno will be a part of fixing that.
  6. I wonder where they rank in the AL on this stat.
  7. I feel the same way as you do, EXCEPT I see Liriano as the best gamble available for the Twins having an "ace" anytime soon. If the Twins were ever to make it to the postseason, an ace could help take them past the first round.
  8. Now that Liriano is done for the day, why not let Doumit bat for Butera?
  9. Thanks for that good news. Hopefully the "Wall" can pick up where he left off.
  10. Who still wants to trade Liriano?
  11. I agree 100%, and would add that Butera seems to be pretty good at throwing out base stealers. He is also batting .246, which is not terrible for a backup catcher.
  12. And now it appears that Hamilton may have re-injured his back.
  13. I am glad that Morneau got a hit and an RBI. Maybe he is getting it together.
  14. CBS shows that Mauer is already out of the game. Is he injured?
  15. Good scouting by the Rangers -- walk Willingham to get to Morneau. Justin needs some days off -- he seems to have virtually zero chances of hitting a southpaw.
  16. The Rangers have slotted in Martin Perez to pitch instead of Yu Darvish. Perez had a good last start, but his ERA is 9.00. Let's hope that the Twins can score early and often.
  17. Yes, why couldn't he be a potential all star outfielder? Isn't he pretty fast and have a strong arm? I hope that the injury is minor.
  18. Here is a link to Deduno's career stats: http://www.milb.com/milb/stats/stats.jsp?pos=P&sid=milb&t=p_pbp&pid=465679 As you can see, he just had his 29th birthday, so he is not a young prospect. And he gives up a lot of walks, but also gets strikeouts and does not seem to give up a lot of home runs. I like this move -- Deduno will either make it or not If he makes it, then he can competently fill a rotation spot. If he does not make it, then he will help the Twins get a better draft pick next year. I see possible upside and almost no downside to giving Deduno a chance.
  19. I think that I will erase this game from my DVR without watching it.
  20. You called that one correctly. This has now crossed the line into sickening.
  21. On the bright side, the Twins may get more high draft picks next year.
  22. If the Twins lose, I will not blame them for being demoralized. This is a game that should have been won by a big margin.
  23. Damn Delmon Young -- now we need a double play.
