  1. I think he gets outrighted from the roster, and does not get claimed.
  2. It’s hard for me to imagine an 18 year old prospect at low A (Lewis) is worth more than Berrios, Sano, and maybe even Rosario and Kepler, given their years of remaining control and having already proven themselves (at least) as MLB regulars. Am I undervaluing Lewis?
  3. So, can he be placed back on the 60 day DL to start the season? I imagine he can refuse a minor league assignment if healthy, and he can’t be retained off of the 40 man roster by passing through waivers, so he’d just be released if we don’t roster him on the 25 man.
  4. We would be unlikely to win a multiple game series against the Yankees this year, but for one game, I have to think we have something like 40% win probability. Nearly a coin flip! I bought ALDS tickets, like many of you!
  5. Anyone not under guaranteed contract next year can be up for grabs since none of our impending free agents are worth a qualifying offer. Dozier will help us win next year, but might be redundant if Polanco can hit again, and if we tender Escobar, with Gordon in the high minors. So, listening to offers on Dozier makes some sense. We can't really expect any of our internal options to replace his bat completely though. Santana can't be replaced in terms of production and reasonable contract this free agency season. We'd really be shooting ourselves in the foot trading him away unless we got back a higher ceiling, MLB ready arm, which seems unlikely.
  6. "See, I'm not the best, but I'm in the top two." Slug, regarding Byron Buxton.
  7. I thought that by going 0-9 to start the season, the Twins were really helpful in managing my season's expectations, and I appreciate that.
  8. Puerto Rico is part of the United States.
  9. So would anyone try to go after Hedges or Norris at this point? SD has lots of catching talent, but none of their catchers are really MLB proven yet.
  10. I would take Norris for Arcia and Meyer in a heartbeat. 3 more years of team control, entering offensive prime years, and leaving Petco park all look favorable. Upton is leaving the Padres as a FA this fall, so maybe Arcia fills their need for MLB ready corner outfielder.
