  1. I don't think he's going to swipe as many bags as a lot of you project, but I think he can go 20/20, which I'd be pretty happy with. With h Trout and Keirmeier out there, not sure he'll win a gold glove, but he'll merit one. I'll boldly predict 20 bunt singles as well.
  2. Something you and I agreed upon a year ago and still to this day.
  3. How about to see the twins beat the royals' asses for keeping the gold font in their uniform despite being two years removed from their World Series victory?
  4. If I could avoid it, maybe I would, but I'm sick with it. I've been patiently waiting six months for the privilege of watching grown men throw the old ball around. Can't help it. It's great.
  5. On the radio just now, Falvey completely deflected the Park question. He chose to emphasize their desire to carry 13 pitchers. This guy...I don't know about this guy.
  6. Must've read it in some ian kinsler quote or something.
  7. Would somebody down there please help Chief find his pills?
  8. He took that shot to the head against the Tigers if I recall correctly. I was there. It was loud.
  9. I think the timing is just about right for a candlelight vigil.
  10. We could use a first couple round these parts. I have a nice myself I could hook Van up with. She's not quite 29, not quite 3, but there's plenty of time for them to get to know each other.
  11. I can't believe anyone is worried about Sano. I think it's pretty clear the type of player he will be.
  12. I am sure Kennys is a terrific guy, but I don't want him to make the team opening day. That AB right there reminded me just how clueless he tends to look up there. Again, seems like a swell guy, so no ill will from me, but I want Park to get another shot this April.
  13. Berrios struck out the side in order. Stanton, Lucroy, Kinsler. And yet, not overly impressive. Seems to be missing quite a bit.
  14. I'd put Yadi in the hall. Speaking of catchers, anyone notice that lucroy, like, can't catch anything tonight?
  15. Well, that was pretty fun. Didn't really have a dog in that fight, but I got a 101 course in Japanese baseball culture. Very cool, that. There was a marching-band style rally group in left field where my seat was. They would play during Japanese offensive half innings. Each player had a song of his own. Highly enjoyable. Of course, the American fans countered with their own style (I.e., getting piss your pants drunk and yelling "USA!USAUSA! Over and over and over and over and over again). I bought a Japan cap.
  16. **** it. I'm going to the game tomorrow. USA vs Japan. I'll post pictures and stuff.
  17. That rabbi gets high all the time, I don't care what he says. That was beautiful, Craig. Thank you.
  18. Wild, easily. Top of the conference most of the season, and now they're in free fall. And time's not on their side, considering they're back on the ice every other day from here on out and they're lone reliable netminder is running on empty.
  19. Echoing Brooks. Not gonna happen. Bruce has NO confidence in Darcy, and neither does anyone in the locker room. At the deadline, a small few were talking about grabbing a backup goalie. I though guy that made no sense. I've changed my tune. Would have been a good call if only we knew how crap Darcy is.
  20. Can't speak for everyone, but I would personally feel reborn into a strange, brave new world, rich with bold, ripened possibilities and untold delights, the likes of which were no more than a fantasy a lifetime ago.
  21. His language is dangerous. Everything is framed in simple binaries. Good, bad, great, sad, etc.
  22. Just me, or at the Darvish numbers inflated a bit by weak AL West opponents. I mean, I've seen him pitch. It's beautiful. Just being cautious.
