    Ben, that was beautiful. I hope that you are able to enjoy all of the senses of baseball for a very many years to come. That said, baseball is also rich with sound and emotion. Surely here are countless ways to enjoy this beautiful game. Nonetheless, I will heed, and never take my views of baseball for granted. The world over, soccer has the reputation of being 'the beautiful game.' For me personally, there's no more beautiful competition than tye one with the crack of the bat, the snap of the leather, and the careful l, familiar dramatics that a baseball game produces. ...on a somewhat related note: SunTrust Park...woof. A swing and a miss in my opinion. Am I wrong?

    I know the chances are slim, but good god almighty, I hope Falvine takes a big swing on this. Shohei would be exactly what we need to turn the corner. Once in a lifetime opportunity, really. I do not think this kid will be a bust. Watch some video. That s--word is filthy stanky sexy cool.

    Man, I just watched three minutes of his 2016 highlight reel on YouTube, before it got so silly, I just had to stop. This kid's stuff is ridiculous. That forkball? It looks like a fastball out of the hand. Thirty feet later, it's on the ground and the batter's shoes and helmet have fallen off. It would be beyond interesting to see him on an AL team, pitching and DH-ing. Not sure how likely it is he'll be given a ton of at bats, though. Every team in baseball will place a bid. If your team doesn't try to get him, your team is dumb. If your team signs him, your team is probably the New York Yankees.

    Well, yeah. Not my point, though. His defense is better than almost any other CF in baseball. He's at least that valuable. If you thought he was going to be Mike Trout, maybe that was your mistake, since Mike Trout is on his way to being one of the very greatest baseball players of all time.

    First of all, great post! Second, I think KAT's a 4. And that's based on his inability to handle rough and tumble centers defensively. Team needs a true center. Third, Rubio in my opinion, not only is our answer at PG, but he could be our third star. Call me crazy, I don't care. Finally, I think we need to leverage Zach for an elite defending wing. Gotta have that to make the whole machine work. I love LaVine. Love him! But this team has needs.

    Also - not sure if the discipline will continue (not sure I trust these guys yet), but that is another encouraging trend.

    I don't think we'll be as impressed with the rotation (Erv excluded) once we start playing teams that are actually...good. But, I think that the Castro effect and the team Defense could be durable, and that would be a humongous step for this team.
