  1. Heh, way more than you wanted to know, but if you read that whole thread I posted you'll get the gist.
  2. Okay, I can't believe I did this, but I found the origins. It was this thread and it was kind of a joint effort, but we were mostly kind of making fun of CB who complained (tongue in cheek) that no one was posting score updates when the game hadn't started yet. http://twinsdaily.com/topic/17442-st-game-26-twins-red-sox-330-605pm-ct/
  3. I think it was a spring training game thread. And I started it, but I got tired of doing it and said I was done with that theme, but everyone else picked it up, so now it's just become a 'thing.'
  4. You're a day early, but never hurts to extend the celebrating!
  5. Gonna turn over to the hockey game at 8:30. Go Blackhawks!
  6. You should start your own topic thread with this in the Other Baseball forum. This would be perfect for there and you'd likely get broader discussion there than in a game thread. In a game thread you're likely to just get a bunch of us chiding A-Rod because, well, it's a game thread.
  7. Yeah, that's my question. And that immediately after, who does Nolasco supplant when he comes off the DL? (But that's a different topic for a different thread in a different forum far, far away.)
  8. Moderator note: Please let's not turn this thread into another rehashing of what the FO did or didn't do, should or shouldn't have done, or should or shouldn't do. Nor is this a rehashing about our outfield defense, although this incident would be another example to add to that discussion. We have plenty of threads for those discussions. The topic of this thread is: 'My question is this, it was such a "don't ever ****ing do it again moment", that I have to ask; "should Arcia have been pulled from the game to make a point? Calling it a learning moment?"' While peripherals are worth noting, please keep this thread pertinent to the topic at hand. What should a manager do in this situation, and with Arcia in particular?
  9. I like it. I like long hair and facial hair on men. Good thing that has no bearing on how one plays baseball ... unless you are that superstitious.
  10. I'd be happy to have my sister suggest something iconic for you if you like.
  11. Damn it ... just get home ... I think I'll turn this off now.
  12. Oh ugh ... that was NOT good. I hate that crap.
  13. You could still hook him up ... he's not leaving for a while yet.
  14. Except for weather conditions and lineups ... that's a LUAWC Queen update.
  15. Damn it, Brian! You promised me you deleted that photo! Grrrr!
  16. Well, in my case, the best choice is no choice. I have accidentally walked into a men's room or two, but I left immediately. And even if I stayed for some unknown reason, I'd still take a stall over a urinal. That's just kind of ickish.
  17. He could be but moving forward, there's no room for him in the outfield. When Buxton and Rosario are ready to be up, we need Santana already there at short and not rusty. As I said earlier, even though he's not a rookie, I think you still have to look at him as a rookie this year, kind of sort of, and give him some time before getting too worried about any part of his game.
  18. I see a lot of dressed up pups here in the city. Mostly coats/jackets and booties in winter. A friend of mine has purchased a dress or two for her Frenchie, though, but her Dolley is so cute!
  19. Welcome to the fray! There is no turning back now! Read and learn here ... there are some awesome baseball minds. Not me, but everyone else!
  20. I'm not even sure how Ash and I fit in that sentence together.
