    If you read the OP ... it said 'at the end of the season' not now. It's a reasonable discussion to have, imo, and it was presented reasonably ... even if it was from Dave.

    If Polanco is up for Plouffe's family leave … I'd rather he be playing SS … then put either Eddie at 3rd. Guess Sano's ankle isn't 100% yet as I'd rather he be playing 3rd. And have Arcia DH. Oh, wait. Hmmm …

    Um, but there have been internal options they could have been trying all this time to know what they potentially would need at the deadline. We have no idea, truly, what we have internally because they haven't been tried. And if the reason they haven't been tried is because they wouldn't be satisfactory, they they should have already gotten something in trade already, imo.

    All of this. Just, all of it. I am not a fly on the wall so I don't know what happens behind closed doors. I am not a professional baseball person, either, so I give a lot of benefit of the doubt … 'they must see this, they must be talking about it.' I have given this situation a TON OF TONS of patience … but last night was it for me. There is NO EXCUSE for this … none … and bullpen fixes, relatively speaking, don't seem to be as difficult as others. While yes, we have other holes, but this one is costing us way more.

    I'll fourth and fifth it … (but I won't eight it) … but yeah, all of this. I think all of my posts after a certain point in the game, and right before, reflected this.

    Today's is spoken for. If you go to the front page of this thread, Chief has been keeping the open dates updated. There are some openings coming up, though … I know it's difficult for you to plan ahead, but … that's the 'calendar' to keep your eye on. And I don't want to speak for Chief, but I think he likes to have people in place at least the day before.

    Neither are they endangered and that's a huge distinction for me. In fact, in some cases, hunters have been encouraged to shoot deer because of overly large populations that would not be sustainable through the winter. While hunting isn't my cup of tea, I have no issues with this kind (deer or duck) of hunting. I'd put fishing in that category, too. And while most hunters (and fishermen) I know might not be hunting purely for food, they do eat or share the meat they do get from that sport and isn't just a head to mount on the wall. Or to boast you've done it just to do it. But going out to kill an endangered animal, exotic of otherwise, just for the … for what, exactly? … whether or not that country allows it, is just, well, horrible to me. It shows a huge lack of respect for life in general, imo.
