  1. You forgot the exclamation points on that. I think it should have at least three.
  2. Just be careful it doesn't go all Vesuvius on you while you are on it!
  3. If that's true, then we're in big trouble. Are you my brother?
  4. I agree, Sconnie.
  5. I wouldn't call this ranting. I'd call this constructive point-making.
  6. Moderator Note: Losses suck. Period. And yes, plenty of finger pointing to go around. But if all you are going to do is go on and on saying nothing more than 'this sucks', 'he sucks,' 'so and so should be fired' and the like, don't post. That is not at all critique nor constructive nor discussion. Wallow all you want, but this is not the STrib's comment section bitch fest. If I see that kind of low level continuation of posting, I'll be closing this thread.
  7. Super roughed up? I see Tampa scored 1 run on him. That's super roughed up? That's a high standard.
  8. Congress is not a Democratic Congress. That was my point. It's not and it won't be. He will not alter in that change. If the Dems take over the Senate and we seat a justice, we might be able to undo the gerrymandering. But Sanders is not going to usher in a Democratic Congress through voting. Sanders supporters are NOT voting down the ballot. As for not having an effect on down-ballot voting, I'm referring to what happened in Wisconsin with the State Supreme Court Justice who was elected. A wider margin of Sanders voters actually voted FOR Bradley than Clinton voters; and a huge number did not vote at all. They cast their vote for Sanders and no one and nothing else.
  9. Actually, primary results are showing that Bernie isn't bringing in widespread support. His supporters are largely voting only for him and no one or nothing else. The change he preaches about will not happen without Congressional change. Your statement of ushering in support to meet his agenda just isn't there.
  10. I have been seeing this Bernie or bust in my FB feeds for weeks now. Even MoveOn has a petition that has been going around about getting Bernie to run as an independent/socialist if he doesn't get the nomination. It has been very widespread and prevalent and goes well beyond those who don't like Clinton. And many of these supporters have been promoting the right wing memes against Clinton for weeks/months because they have nothing else. You may not like her or agree with her on everything, but she is still the most qualified and I believe will do a more thoughtful job overall than Bernie. His comments about her being unqualified was it for me, as she is the most qualified of all. That is based in self-righteous arrogance tapping into the same. I'm sorry I ever compared him to Paul Wellstone. They were friends in the Senate, but he has now truly stepped over a line and lacks Wellstone's integrity.
  11. What host of Democrats will he bring into Congress? Seriously ... I don't see that happening. Has he gone out and stumped for other Democrats this year? Has he used some of his funding to help them get into office? As for mirroring our values ... that sounds like voting only for people who you agree with 100% ... and that just doesn't work. And further, to not vote unless they mirror you, is a vote against your own best interests. I agree it's not about what team wins, but I want someone to win who will actually have an effect on change. And despite his message that isn't Sanders. And now he's gone the route of desperation. Calling Clinton unqualified was the last straw in my book. If she is, then he is unqualified by a mile more.
  12. Mind you ... I wouldn't compare it to Chicago, for instance ... but much better than some cities of equal size and stature.
  13. Well, okay ... I can see that ... segmented, and definitely in the burbs ... but it isn't without diversity.
  14. Heh ... mine's up to date thanks to work. But my photo is crazy ... I am VERY blonde in that photo, taken during a time of more ... color sampling.
  15. It depends, quite honestly ... Illinois won't carry for Cruz, so I won't have to vote for Sanders. Doubtful Illinois would carry for Trump, either, so I'm off the hook either way.
  16. I'd disagree on your take of Minneapolis. As for Bachman, she only won because of the crazy gerrymandering.
  17. I mostly agree with you on this. I have a hard time at zoos not feeling completely sad. But what about in cases of near extinction? Could zoos maybe reinvent their focus to preservation of species and not human enjoyment? Edit: Oops ... Mike said it better just above.
  18. Yes, I would. Bernie or bust supporters would, too, it would appear. It's becoming quite clear that beyond the vision and idealism I thought I admired and compared to Wellstone is a man who just wants to destroy not help to change, unless it's done according to him. That kind of arrogant self-righteousness isn't worthy of my vote. I bet he'll be running regardless, as will Trump, if they end run him at the convention. I really see a 4-way battle, with the decision going to Congress, and finger pointing all around. But in the end, I think that's what Bernie and the Republicans want.
  19. Meh ... images and whatnot in threads is just a 'personal taste' thing for me - well placed it has great effect ... every post, and it loses something. A happy medium is usually a tough balancing act to find. But game threads and the whine line ... go to town.
  20. I've decided I won't be voting for Sanders if he gets the nom. Just. Won't. His acts of desperation are just ... bad.
  21. Yeah, almost hesitated giving van such knowledge ... it's a dangerous thing in the wrong hands.
  22. Although, I think those are supposed to have sound, yes? Not sure how to get that. But don't do sounds gifs, that would be annoying.
  23. Not sure if you can do it from your phone ... if you are in full version mode you should be able to ... and Im not sure if you can from an iPad. When I'm on my iPad, I don't have the full features. But on a laptop or desktop, you should be able to post by how I said ... click on the photo icon with the tree on it from the menu bar of the reply box, put in the url of the gif you want to use, and voila. And if your reply box isn't showing you all those features, click on 'Use Full Editor' to see those features.
  24. This is a gif ... did it the same way ... http://gifyu.com/images/13gif.gif
