  1. I think you did okay as GM. That was the purpose of the article, what would you do if ... and I think you laid it all out pretty well. You're hired!
  2. I wonder if someone (as in a marketing/PR type) suggested they wear those t-shirts?
  3. I can concur with that. I hate Olympics coverage stateside.
  4. MODERATOR WARNING: If y'all can't have a discussion without resorting to childish attacks such as calling another poster a 'hater,' don't post. And if someone resorts to that towards you, please report it and DO NOT RESPOND. It's the quickest way to tear down a thread.
  5. Oh yuck ... I hope they don't all share jock straps.
  6. /we've given out warnings for lesser things. Just sayin'
  7. Ha ... just posted my directions ... yes, that's it.
  8. Go into the forum where you want to start a new discussion thread. So, for a game thread, go into the Twins Talk forum. At the top of the forum to the right side you'll see a black box that says 'Start New Topic.' Click on that. Fill out the title/subject of the thread ... for game threads you'd put 'Game Thread: Twins v Other Team, date @ time.' Then fill in the body of the thread. When you are done, click on 'Post New Topic' and you are done. For game threads, one of the moderators will pin it to the top of the forum when we see it added. (We have 'special powers' that give us some added technical abilities like that.) This goes for any new topic you want to discuss. Just click on the 'Start New Topic,' fill it in and click post. Just make sure you are in the right forum for your topic, i.e. minor leagues or other (non-Twins) baseball talk. We even have a forum (Sports Bar) that's for everything else ... other sports, non-sports, politics, books, music, etc. But if you accidentally post something in the wrong forum, someone (one of the moderators) will move it where it should be.
  9. Glad the info was helpful. Any 'how to' site questions you can post here. Well, any questions, really. Or PM a moderator and we can help.
  10. It says somewhere on the site that it is for Crescent Cove, and proves the link for it. And if you go into one of the items up for bid to see their description, it also provides a description of what the goal is under auction details: About Charity: Crescent Cove, formerly Children’s Lighthouse of Minnesota Currently provides special services for children with life-limiting conditions and families. With a goal to open only the third hospice and respite home in the United States which will include a therapy room and recreation space and family suite designed so that families can stay together. Skilled professionals on-site to provide daily care, meals, pain and symptom control. Children 0 – 21 can stay in one of 8 -10 bedrooms for respite says as a sacred place at the end-of-life. The home will offer 3-4 family suites to allow families to remain together if they choose.
  11. Oh, but my bro (spinowner) may be joining you in about an hour.
  12. lol ... three for a moment ... but off to a picnic
  13. Roosters are male chickens. But kudos on the Foghorn dialect. Brilliant.
  14. Is it really? Haven't done my research; might really have to bid on that ukelele now. Seriously. I don't mind giving money to good charities.
  15. I think if you think on it you could probably come up with a few viable answers.
  16. Yeah ... that's about when I made the post that looking at the contents of some of these are pretty interesting. Not sure it's a true glimpse 'inside' but it's still interesting. Suzuki's has a pretty Hawaiian theme to it ... ukelele and all. Still haven't yet decided if I'll bid on it ... I might, though.
  17. In the vein of TMI, I think everyone should post their commando experiences.
  18. Lol ... I'm bidding on Suzuki's for the ukelele.
  19. I'm very impressed by some of these ... and some really give you a glimpse of an interest or two outside of baseball. Centeno's basket is filled with fishing stuff; Hughes' cooking stuff ... real cooking stuff; Gibson's grilling/bbq things. I just find it interesting. Also wonder if maybe the $350 is the minimum bid on these things.
  20. Can we get back on topic here? I understand the possible peripheral here, but that is not the topic of this thread. If you want to discuss perceived or actual bias of Latin players by the Twins, by all means start a thread and discuss it, but don't jack a thread because you find the peripheral a more interesting topic to discuss.
  21. Is it too late in the process for the GOP to choose another candidate? Or would Trump have to pull out? I think it's too late for them to put up an Independent, which a friend of mine thinks they should. He won't for Trump and doesn't want to vote for anyone else running.
  22. You forgot an exception ... going commando.
