  1. Maybe they are giving Molly what he wants to build a case he needs to go ... yeah, I like a good conspiracy theory. That really isn't one.
  2. I wasn't impressed with Tepesch the few times I saw him. But what do I know ... just wasn't all that impressed. Not really with Haley, either, but maybe slightly more than Tepesch.
  3. I think I mostly said that trying not to spew. What do I know?
  4. I'll watch because Buxton, Sano, Kepler, Rosario, Mejia, Polanco ... who'd I miss? And whoever comes up, hopefully soon. I'll tune into as many games as possible, but reserve the right to turn it off when pitching ... yeah. But I'll watch also because I want ESan to do well, he's worth watching. And I want to see if Gibson has turned a corner because he did look good this spring. And I want Dozier to have another monster year. And to see if Breslow's self-analyzing worked. What? I'm curious. So, yeah, and because, baseball. I may not like everything, and I may be in for a world of hurt, but, well, there are worse things in life, and, well, baseball. Did I mention baseball?
  5. I don't think delaying decisions on players is not knowing them but rather not sure they want to lose them yet. I don't know. I'm just trying to come up with logical explanations that don't make me hurt so bad with disappointment.
  6. Well, that would be my hope. I think (hope?) there will be some roster shuffling before the month of April is over.
  7. I think the back up might be Grossman in the short term, Vargas or Park eventually. As I said, I think this roster is just a delay on making firmer decisions that impact actually losing players they may not yet want to lose, for whatever reason. But it's still ... what it is.
  8. I think they designed this roster in order to delay decision making on some of the players. And I'm not qualifying that as a bad or good thing ... yet.
  9. So, once Adrianza is off the DL, does he have a spot on the roster? In place of whom?
  10. Love? How about even like? All I can say in trying to have hope is that I hope a few of these guys are on a short leash and being given one last final 'Are we sure' look before replacing and removing them for prospects that should be up.
  11. Great post, first timer! Love getting first-hand perspectives! Not only welcomed and appreciated, but encouraged! I hope you will continue to chime in with your first-hand views throughout the season!
  12. Well, of course I'm in one of the photos. Every zoo has to have a zookeeper. And yes, I most definitely am the zookeeper.
  13. Maybe I should have said alternate facts checker? I can't keep up.
  14. My menu for the game is leftover grilled shrimp then off to the hospital to visit my Dad. The way it goes when you are 91.
  15. Yeah, it's great having witnesses to one's geekdom and knowing there are others who belong to the cult.
  16. Hahahaha ... careful, SI may call you to be a fact checker to up their cred.
  17. Yeah, when I said broadcast, meant TV. No TV. But yes to radio, in both markets. And I think yesterday's game was the last Twins television broadcast of the ST season, which makes sense since that was their last home game against a ML competitor.
  18. Google is your friend, my Friend. This was simply the first link when I asked 'why sox instead of socks'. http://www.slate.com/articles/news_and_politics/explainer/2005/10/x_marks_the_baseball_team.html
  19. Two days in a row? That'd be great!
  20. No Twins broadcast. Doesn't look like NESN is broadcasting and not on MLBN, either, for those of us with the MLB package. But it does look to be on the radio.
  21. They said there were 8 car trailers loaded. By the time I saw the five that were there, three had already departed.
  22. Amen! Preach it brother!
  23. Nice article by David Dorsey of the Fort Myers News Press. If you aren't quite convinced you should make the trip to ST, this might do it for you. It's not just the big leagues practicing and playing. Watching the action at the backfields are such an up close and personal experience. I like watching the major leaguers practice, too, but there are fences and security to keep you from getting too close. There's a ... purity to the game? ... watching 'the kids' go about their work. http://www.news-press.com/story/sports/2017/03/27/why-minor-league-camp-beats-big-league-spring-training-games/99487552/
