Pulled off the bus? Oh wow ... I know it’s a business and that’s how it goes, but that’s a harsh way to get bad news.

And I will add, as a moderator, particularly in threads where it has no bearing. Start a new thread, please, if you want to go down the TR vs Levine path instead of thread-jacking this thread.

Yeah, if the off season had gone differently I might have begrudgingly been okay with that eventually if we hadn’t done anything else. I just think he’s going to have a huge drop off. I’m not sure I’d have given him a guaranteed 3rd year. And I agree. I like what we ended up doing much better.

Wow, no way I’d have given Arrieta that. I’d have been back to ‘What are they thinking!?!?!?’ if our FO committed to him for 3 yrs.

I combined your thread with another recent one just a few below yours. I think there are some answers above. Also, in a couple of weeks, when all the Adopt-a-Prospect pages go up, you can check there for updates on prospects such as Jax.

Round 2 is posted and will open for business Monday morning! Check it out here: http://twinsdaily.com/topic/28867-round-2-adopt-a-prospect-2018-monday-mar-12/

Ack!!! I'm getting political ads now ... for candidates I would never vote for ... ugh!!! So much for TD being a respite from all of that!

Okay ... here is the (very) long list of remaining prospects. They are organized according to where they were in the organization at the end of the season last year (thanks, Seth!), and then alphabetized. I also included their positions, in case you want to draft according to position, in case you wanted to adopt an entire team! As to where they will start this year still remains to be seen. Not surprising that the largest numbers are in the lower minors and are pitchers. In this round you can adopt as many as you want, whenever you want. No more one at a time, one per day ... as many as you want, first come, first served. Just post below (starting Monday, 9am CT) and I will confirm with a like and posting 'adopted by' following the prospect name on the list before; and, as before, don't fret if I don't get to this until later in the day. When you can, get your threads started. If you want to wait until your prospects have been assigned, that's understable so just get your threads going soon after that. Seeing this long list of names reminds us all just how many prospects it takes to fill out the system and ultimately field a major league team. Many of these young men ... hard working for little pay ... ever fullfill their dreams. It's a long, tough road and many of these names won't even be recognizable to most. So let's show them a little love and give them their day! Monday at 9am I'll open the thread and you can put in your claims! Even though this day in age doesn’t use carbon paper copies, cc is still acceptably referred to as carbon copy, at least according to several sources I read when I google searched the question on the internet. But back to topic.

Yeah ... CC ... means carbon copy.

Just to remind everyone, round 2 starts Monday, and it’s a big round because it’s everyone else not in round 1! I’ll be posting the list sometime Saturday so everyone has time to look through all the names before the draft starts. But let’s get these final two from round 1 off the boards! Yay! I’m looking forward to reading everyone’s threads throughout the season and happy for all the first-timers giving it a go! Thanks, everyone!

Great! And welcome aboard! If you have any questions, give us a shout.

I look forward to it ... and glad you decided to jump in!

He's yours ... just read what some have done so far with their prospects ... or go into past years and read how some have maintained their prospect threads ... and just go to it. It's up to you what and how much you want to include. If you have any questions about getting started with content, send a PM to goulik for helps and ideas. If you have any technical questions, i.e. how to post a photo, send me a PM and I'll give you instructions. But first and foremost ... have fun with it!

You got 'im!

Ooops ... he's not up for draft yet ... my mistake. But since I slipped up ... go for it.

He's yours ... go to it!

He doesn't look old enough to grow one!

It depends on what their investigation turned up, and not sure if all that is made public. But if all it is is a ‘he said, she said’ not sure what the outcome will be.

<GROAN> And of course you jumped right on that. You are nothing if not predictable. But I would have been disappointed if you didn’t.

On this site, doing a search, Thrylos has him listed at #6 in his rankings. http://twinsdaily.com/blog/54/entry-9325-2018-twins-off-season-top-60-prospect-list-summary-1-60-and-organizational-overview/

Was it a blog on this site?

You can question these things all you want; there will be those who agree with you, and those who don't. You will get those who feel as strongly about their opinions as you do yours. That's the nature of it. It's not always easy, especially if your opinion is in the minority (although on Joe, I think it's not so lopsided as say, extending Buxton, on this site). Just becuase someone has something to say opposite you, they aren't telling you you can't question it, they are rebutting your statements because they feel differently.

Have you seen him play?
