Thorpe was scheduled to pitch today in St. Paul, so it makes sense.

Geez ... Simmons ... don't know what to say ... getting the base at 2nd was something, but that throw was something else

Yikes ... good luck with your recovery!

So, who is that more tiring for ... the pitcher or the batter? ('Yes' is not an acceptable answer)
  5. Squirrel
Half an inning of no score baseball

What an exciting finish to last night's game! And this from the previous day ... leading up to the Polanco walk-off sac fly: We've been experiencing a lot of that lately ... and while too little, too late for the end result to the season as we were hoping, it's still fun anyway ... even the 3.5-4 hrs of it! The Twins just seem to be clicking lately and it's a good ride. I'm hoping for a good night from Ober, was hoping to see Gordon in the lineup, but onward we must go. May the clicking continue! And we still don't know who tomorrow's pitcher will be ... Ryan? Thorpe? All will be revealed in time! See? There's still some excitement to be had. 'Nuff said ... the lineups: GUARDIANS 1. Myles Straw (R ) CF 2. Amed Rosario (R ) DH 3. Jose Ramirez (S) 3B 4. Wilson Ramos (R ) C 5. Bradley Zimmer (L) RF 6. Yu Chang (R ) 1B 7. Daniel Johnson (L) LF 8. Ernie Clement (R ) 2B 9. Andres Gimenez (L) SS Eli Morgan (R ) P TWINS 1. Max Kepler (L) RF 2. Brent Rooker (R ) LF 3. Jorge Polanco (S) 2B 4. Josh Donaldson (R ) DH 5. Luis Arraez (L) 3B 6. Mitch Garver (R ) C 7. Miguel Sano (R ) 1B 8. Rob Refsnyder (R ) CF 9. Andrelton Simmons (R) SS Bailey Ober (R ) P Now go get 'em! Play ball!

Not only did he make it to 6 innings ... but he pitched through errors that cost runs ... and still held his cool. Other pitchers might let that get to them. I was impressed with his overall performance last night, but especially the composure.
  8. Squirrel
Yeah, but you could probably get a good plate of smelt up there

hmmm ... what's going on with Watkins?
  21. Squirrel
yup ... I'd concur with this ... Simmons would be the odd man out (or should be, imo)
  22. Squirrel
Maybe we will see him at SS tomorrow? One can always hope ... if it doesn't get too depressing ...
  23. Squirrel
How do you call all of them up to do that?
  24. Squirrel
The site shows Jax ... has that changed?
  25. Squirrel
I don't think Joe Ryan is ready for a call up on Wednesday. It didn't sound like he was completely in his new routine yet after dealing with jet lag and moving, etc. Of the list provided, he's the one I most want to see, but I don't think it will be Wednesday.
