  1. I would assume he will start the season in AAA after playing 94 games last year in AA. In all honesty, if he starts in AAA, he's potentially an injury away from being called up. If he's healthy going into next season and gets off to a good start I see no reason not to call him up when an opportunity arises.
  2. Hamels and Teheran as #4 starters would be fine with me but they need to shoot higher for a top of the line pitcher.
  3. My main concern with going into next season with Astudillo as the back up is who do the Twins have as depth if Garver gets injured. He was remarkably healthy this past season, but he does have a history of concussions. I almost think the Twins would want to go into next season with Garver, another catcher and Astudillo. Additionally, with rosters expending to 26 next season I feel it's easier to carry 3 catchers.
  4. I don't know that I would consider these four pitchers on the same level as any of the pitchers for Houston or the Red Sox when they traded for them.
  5. Can we stop penciling Graterol into the 5th starter role for the Twins rotation? The probability of him starting with the Twins has to be under 5%. He hasn't pitched more then 102 innings in any season, so his max will probably be around 150 next season and he has a total of 5.1 innings at AAA. He's going to start in AAA so they can manage him innings pitched so he'll be available for the post season if the Twins make it there next season.
  6. Maybe it's a good thing the Twins got swept. There was no way with the pitching staff they have they were going to win the WS. In my opinion, had they played competitive with the Yankees maybe the FO and the Pohlad's go into the offseason only planning to tweak the roster. They were thoroughly out played against the Yankees and now know for certain they need to make some major upgrades to the pitching staff. Go get a top of the line starter this offseason no matter the cost. Resign Pineda and Odorizzi. Sign a top notch bullpen guy to match Rogers.
  7. I switched to Youtube.TV back in June when I moved back to MN and I love it. I can watch what I want from my TV, laptop and or phone and it's extremely easy. I live in an apartment and the dog had to go out right during the eighth inning last night when Washington was mounting their comeback. Left the TV running, put the game on my phone and had no issue.
  8. To me a big key will be getting to their bullpen early. They have a very good bullpen that is deep, so if the Twins can jump on Paxton early and force the Yanks to bring them in early will be necessary. Severino coming back from injury probably will be on a pitch count for game 2, so being able to get their bullpen early in game 1 will be important.
  9. If I were making decisions I would start him back at AA next season and make sure he can hit there before I move him up to AAA. There is no need to rush him as this point since SS, 2B and CF seem to be covered.
  10. I think the Twins would have to consider trading him if a youngish starting pitcher with team control was made available. Rosie brings a lot to the team but the Twins have a ton of corner OF prospects in AA and AAA that will be looking to make the MLB roster next season.
  11. That would be a terrible rotation to start next season. I can understand bringing back Pineda and or Odorizzi to be your third / fourth starter but they need someone equally as good as Berrios at the top for this team to have a legit shot at the World Series.
  12. Such an exciting game to watch and pumped the Indians lost their game and the lead in now up to 4 games! Arraez is my new favorite player on the team. Love his hustle and his hitting ability.
  13. I've never really looked at Fangraphs and it has a ton of information. Thanks, this is extremely helpful.
  14. This is somewhat off topic but there has been a lot of talk about trading prospects so we don't lose them this winter to the rule 5 draft. Does anyone know what prospects have to be added to the 40 man roster this offseason? Also, where can I find this information?
  15. A bit underwhelmed with the moves made. They made the bullpen better but these moves were made to try and make the playoffs vs what some other teams did to try and win the world series.
  16. Thanks for the information but this SUCKS!!! It was such a convenient page with everything centralized.
  17. Does anyone know how to get to the MiLB website that was basically a home base for all of the affiliates for the Twins? In past years through MiLB.com I believe there was a way to get to their affiliates website that on the right side had a link to all of their teams. I can't find it anymore.
  18. I have two concerns with Rocco as a manager. He seems to be pulling the starters very early so far this season. Berrios only threw 86 pitches last night so there was no reason to not let him at least start the 8th. Also, Rogers is going to be on the DL by June with the way Rocco is using him. This is exactly what happened last year with Molitor. He fell in love with one RP and used him until he was worn out. PS I hate that baseball changed the DL to IL. It doesn’t roll off the tongue properly. It should either be the DL, so we can stop with this PC crap, or they IR.
  19. Does anyone know what injuries Gordon and Gonsalves have to put them on IL? I still don't know if I like the IL versus the DL. The DL just sounds better.
  20. Awesome! I think we can all agree the offense should be solid this season. The question is who does he replace - Adrianza or Cave on the 25 man roster?
  21. It will be interesting to see how Nick Gordon reacts to this signing. Does he have the ability to play anywhere in the outfield or is he strictly trade bait at this moment and the Twins are just waiting for him to have a hot start so they can trade him??
