  1. It's not even close for #2. The day before was a dagger too.
  2. If anyone is due for a clutch hit it is Buxton.
  3. Pretty sure this joke went over everyone else's head.
  4. I will continue to advocate for a 30 man roster, even knowing the owners will never go for paying 4 more players an mlb salary. 25 or 26 players active for a game. 14 pitcher maximum but on game day only 10 can be pitchers, maybe 11. You would leave off your 4 SP that aren't pitching that day. This would help have fewer DFA's and call ups/send downs due to needing a long man. But I'd be fine at 28 too. With no inactives. Also would like to see September rosters expanded again.
  5. If the CBA has a provision added to limit player moves teams will be short players, specifically pitchers, constantly in the current system. It makes a lot more sense to keep throwing darts as opposed to being forced to send the same ****** pitcher out there endlessly. They did the right thing by limiting the number of times a player can be called up and optioned back over a season (5 times). However one thing they should do is limit the amount of times a played can be DFA'd by a team, he elects to be a free agent, and then the next days signs back with that team and is selected a day later again. I'd call it the Carlos Carrasco Rule.
  6. Probably would be going better if Austin Martin was pitching...
  7. This is the biggest downside to MLB have control of the broadcast. They get to pick the fill in from their roster of PBP guys.
  8. Fangraphs/Cot's Contracts is showing $131,720 is the Twins obligation. Pirates obligation shows $454,435. Maybe the cash considerations was the remainder of the deal minus the MLB minimum prorated?
  9. The Twins are only on the hook for a prorated minimum, according to MLB TRade Rumors. PIT is on the hook for the rest.
  10. Shouldn't worry about pitch count with him. But Orze is up so it's a moot point.
  11. I'd rather Lawrence eat these 3 innings than burn another arm. The he can be wished well in his future endeavors tomorrow for the Paredes/Rojas piggyback.
  12. Lawrence has a good chance of being the 12th pitcher to record a save for the Twins this season.
