Doc, the more I think about it the more I like Thorpe covering the Pineda void. I'll be surprised if we don't trade for a #3. In other words, someone we would trust to start a playoff game.

Falvey has large market team written all over him. If Friedman moves on, no doubt he'll take over the Beach Boys.

Corbin is a great example for those keeping score at home. Our buds the large market Yankees had him all but tied up. After much reflection, they adamantly refused to add an additional year to the deal. The large market Nationals came out of nowhere, swooped down and gave him the final year. It's not fair, why can't we be a large market team?

Once we signed Odorizzi and Pineda the case was no longer unique. We were in the same boat as half the other teams. Don't confuse free agency with Christmas.

This is in fact rocket science. We continue to dominate the Central and no one can predict what will happen in a short series. The best team doesn't always win. The team that gets hot does. Don't confuse free agency with Christmas.

Brock, this is exactly the right time for a mid-market team with marginal ownership to stick to their guns. 3 of the 5 are extended and we're in position to sweep. Overpay with prospect capital, which the Pohlad's neither control or understand.

Look it up. Last year at this time the best FA pitching class in decades was considered to be nothing special.

America's Team won 72 games last season, missed the playoffs 11 years in a row, and has had 7 consecutive losing seasons. Compared to the Indians, we spend stupid money.

Win or lose, another outstanding effort to improve our favorite team. The biggest wiff this offseason, was the Red Sox not pushing harder to hire Falvey.

Doc, he may be desperate. Poor farm system with few if any pitching prospects and a contract that runs out after the 2021 season. A friend in need, is a friend indeed.

I would talk to them. This is the second offseason in a row, King Theo has been forced to sit out. No one knows better than he, free agency is not Christmas.

I believe I read on MBRTR we're sitting at 116M. JD is 20-25M. I have no problem with where we're at or what we're doing.

You have me confused, but I'm going to respond anyway. 10 years ago, Falvey may still have been in college. You want to fire TR twice? There is death, taxes, and the Pohlads are cheap. Why not symbolically organise bake sales and car washes to buy them out?
