    Welp, we made it through the Storm With a Name. Lotta trees didn't make it, and blocked some roads. One of our usual poop-walk paths got buried. Stuff got tossed around the village a bit, some garden stuff shredded, but hey, free bananas! 🍌 Thanks for the good wishes from Twinkie-Land!

    Youre right, he was a big power hitter who mashed a lot of taters in the minors, but never caught on in mlb. IIRC, a contemporary of that 80's Twins core.

    Welp, hunkering down over here, schools and airport closed, so naught all to do but follow some ball. As long as the internets don't go down too. Winds up over 100 km (rising to 150 later) and sideways rain, and ain't no way I'm taking the dog out in this mess. 😅 So, go Twins, I guess. ⚾

    Haw haw haw! What a treat, and a great read! I just rewatched this gem about a month ago for the umpteenth time. I thing everybody has a list of go-to movies when you need a pick-me-up or a palate cleanser from modern life. And truly, the fave line you quoted was exactly the same one I had in mind!
