  1. Too bad we are missing John Danks.
  2. I think this injury has been there for three years, but it often only bothers him after he has several innings on the year. I wouldn't be surprised if he misses the rest of the year.
  3. Escobar has not taken a walk so far this season. That is a sign of trouble. He is also striking out at the same rate as Trevor Plouffe, and is making hard contact at a rate of just .006 higher than Plouffe. The reason for his success? He is hitting balls in the air at an unusually high rate, as only Brandon Belt, Trevor Story, David Ortiz, Freddie Freeman, JD Martinez, Chris Davis, Adrian Beltre, and Bryce Harper have a higher rate than Escobar.
  4. What about Travis Blankenhorn? He is the most underrated player in our system.
  5. 1) Sending Park or Buxton down is ridiculous. 2) Burdi is going to be out for a while, so people might as well stop talking about him being groomed for Perkins' job. 3) Tim Lincecum, Justin Masterson, and Greg Holland are interesting reclamation projects that could be useful later this year or next year.
  6. May should not be in the rotation, and Tonkin is better than the pitchers in Korea. Yes, you need to rethink that.
  7. http://www.d1baseball.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/06/MattKrookOregon.jpg Image courtesy of d1baseball.com Matt Krook is a 6'3", 205Ib lefty from Oregon State University who was taken 35th overall by the Marlins in 2013; nevertheless, he did not sign due to disagreements about his physical. Krook has a good fastball that sits around 92 miles per hour, throws a power curveball, and an average changeup. Matt incorporates a high leg lift into his delivery before coming violently over the top, which has lead many to question whether he has good enough mechanics to last as a big league starter. OSU's ace missed the 2015 season after he had Tommy John surgery, yet he made a comeback in the Cape Cod League that impressed many scouts. Since coming back from his surgery, his walk rate has nearly doubled, so he will need to improve his walk rate in the weeks leading up to the draft before he begins moving up boards. Matt Krook may be better suited for the bullpen, but if everything comes together he could be a good middle of the rotation starter in the majors. The Twins have drafted from Oregon State in recent years, and Krook reminds some of a lesser version of Tyler Jay, but it would not be surprising if the Twins shied away from a pitcher with an injury history and control issues.
  8. No reason to make the Ryan boot when a new GM won't fix anything. Molitor will be fired if the Twins lose 20 in a row.
  9. We have a great GM. Go Ryan! Go Molitor! GO POHLAD!!!!
  10. The first coach I will start second guessing will be Brunansky.
  11. All we need to do is score more runs than the other team!
  12. I know a truck driver who is a Republican, so that might not work.
  13. Do you want James to be on the hot seat after six games?
  14. Seats don't get hot six games into the season.
  15. I'm looking forward to the 2017 draft.
  16. Kepler is so freaking athletic!!! (Looking at the bright side.)
  17. Rosario likes triples.
  18. Seriously, the pitch was six inches outside.
  19. Hirschbeck has been awful all day.
