  1. I wish Danny Vader was announcing tonight.
  2. How is everything going? I see that Bubbles changed her profile pic again...
  3. The reason we would have to give up May is because they need young pitching, and the Twins have Rogers, Meyer, Berrios, Stewart etc. Plus, we have Santana coming off his suspension, and he is under contract for a pretty long time. As for the Braun part, I think that he can become an above average corner outfield bat again.
  4. Hopefully he can provide some depth in the system at the hot corner.
  5. The Phillies will ask a lot more than Danny Santana, and trading Nolasco to the Phillies would make them worse.
  6. Yeah, I see where you are coming from, but we could pay him his salary and do what the Marlins did with Saltalamacchia and the Red Sox did with Mujica. As for the Pinto part, we really don't know about that part, and that is why I said it would take a lot of guts to make the trade for both GMs.
  7. I heard that Braun is viewed by most teams as a player on the downside that comes with a lot of baggage, so I don't know if he is worth much, but I believe that he got into some bad habits that are correctible after his thumb injury, such as committing to early in his swing so he could hit the fastball, but he became susceptible to the breaking ball. I don't think that very many teams view Braun as an above average player, so I would be surprised if any team sent prospects, unless the Brewers paid his entire contract.
  8. I have heard multiple rumors that they will target Trevor Plouffe this offseason.
  9. This was just an idea that I thought that I would put forward. I am not saying that I agree with or promote all of these ideas. I have been thinking that if the Twins want Jonathan Lucroy they will need to trade Major League proven talent, but how do they do that and hang on to prospects when they don’t have much to offer? Today I will look at a way that they could do that. First, the Twins need to trade to the Brewers weaknesses, and one of the Brewers main needs is a third baseman since Aramis Ramirez is retiring after the season is over. The Twins have Trevor Plouffe, who alone could be half the package that the Brewers are looking for, and they also have Miguel Sano, but I believe that Plouffe would be more what the Brewers would be looking for, and he has been on their radar for awhile; according to rumors, but they don’t have much in their farm system to offer, so the Twins and Brewers could make a trade involving Plouffe and Lucroy, but there would need to be more pieces. If the Brewers decide to make Lucroy available they will likely have decided to rebuild, so they will ask for some young players too, and areas they are thing in for young players are the outfield and pitching, and they will also want some catching in return. As I said earlier they will likely want players that are close to the big leagues, and the Twins can trade to those weaknesses. So here is my proposal. The Twins will send Trevor Plouffe, Kurt Suzuki (short term replacement), Josmil Pinto (long term replacement), Aaron Hicks (still only 25 years old), and Trevor May to the Milwaukee Brewers for Jonathan Lucroy, and here is where it gets interesting, we would also get Ryan Braun and take his massive contract of their hands. The Twins could then call up Miguel Sano, Byron Buxton, Jose Berrios, and Alex Meyer while cutting Ricky Nolasco. Ryan Braun would immediately take over in left, and Torii Hunter and Oswaldo Arcia would platoon in right until the season is over and Hunter retires. This would be a win now and win in the future move for the Twins and this would also be a good rebuild move for the Brewers since they receive some young players that are ready, and they could unload their main contract, but both teams would have to have a lot of guts to make this trade.
  10. With Hunter, Schafer, and Robinson getting hot the Twins will have some hard decisions to make if he hits the ground running like Santana and Vargas did.
  11. They could have Dan Gladden night and give away Webster Dictionaries to the first 10,000.
  12. I think it would be nice if we had two.
  13. Dan Gladden is most likely celebrating, he hates the idea.
  14. When I play I like to pretend I'm gonna steal home, and I did it a couple of times. (In sandlot games, that is.)
  15. I think I should take a look at their OBP.
  16. Speaking of Texas, these are the Astros batting averages for their lineup tonight: .364 .213 .202 .195 .155 .294 .371 .238 .158 And they are on a 10 game win streak.
  17. With my stance and swing I copy Hunter Pence.
  18. Those kind of places are the best in the world.
