  1. Check out his peripherals: Respectable 16.2% K-BB% with a hefty 57.6% ground ball rate. Good for a 3.14 FIP / 3.24 xFIP. He's actually having a really nice season behind the unlucky ERA. I think he did earn the promotion.
  2. Is Landa still coming back from injury, or is he just a bullpen guy now?
  3. I don't know for a fact, but I don't think Kiley would have said it if he hadn't seen him in person or at least heard the same thing from multiple scouts. Kiley is one of the best in the business, IMO.
  4. He came up in Kiley's prospect chat yesterday, might as well share it here rather than a new thread. Comment From Andrew: Kiley, I’m interested in your thoughts on Kohl Stewart. Has has stuff taken a step backward in light of the lower K/9 rate? Where do you project him now in a rotation? Kiley McDaniel: It has. Backend stuff now. Often, when the stuff downgrades, it doesn’t come back. Was hoping for a more encouraging answer, he seems to be putting it together a bit lately.
  5. Here is the direct link to the Twins' page: http://www.milb.com/scoreboard/index.jsp?sid=milb&org=142
  6. I asked this after his last start. I bought the narrative last season that he had shelved his slider to work on other stuff, and that the strikeouts would come, but even when he brought the slider back towards the end of the season he wasn't getting many k's. At some point it has to get worrying that he is not striking anyone out, does it not?
  7. At what point is it time to worry about Stewart's lack of strikeouts?
  8. Hey all, I put together an aggregate of all of the major national top prospect lists (and TD's list). Thought I'd post here in case anyone else was interested. http://i.imgur.com/UHmQUSC.png Some notes: In a few cases, the rankings changed a bit between the time when the Twins list was published vs. the MLB list. In cases like these (Kiley for example), I edited the Twins rankings to match up with the order that prospects appeared on the MLB list.List is sorted based on the number of Twins prospects lists they appear on, with the average ranking as the tie breaker. I didn't do any editorializing to bump prospects I (dis)like up or down.Sean Gilmartin appeared on one list that was made before the Rule 5 draft.Only Mayo's list was done after the Rule 5 draft, so it's possible that JR Graham would be on more lists if they were updated today.Avg = Average ranking# = Number of lists a prospect appears onHi = Highest rankingLo = Lowest rankingΔ = Difference between Hi and Lo rankingHM = Honorable Mention. This could be anywhere from 101 to 200+, depending on the listThere is a lot of guesswork on my part with regard to the Level, but it is meant to be the level where they will start 2015. If you find some information that contradicts my list, let me know and I will update
