Both organizations had defensive magician Delmon Young at one point on their teams. That alone shows the incredibly high standards both teams have for defense in recent years!
Well, you've got to start somewhere! So that's pretty cool they're getting their hours in to chase after their dream. This is a 100% guess, but don't pilots need to fly for 10-15 years before they can become a captain of a commercial airplane? 99% of pilots I've seen on my flights are at least in their late 40's, and most of the time older than that.
After a career season I believe he will generate a nice return. At the very least someone who can be a difference maker in the rotation for 2017 and beyond.

One of the best loopholes I found during senior year of HS was "work release program". I had study hour for first period, and frankly did not want to go. If you took a sheet home and claimed you were staying home to help out with chores and got a parent's signature, you could stay home instead of going to study hall. Because of that I was able to sleep in until 8:15 to make it to 9:00 class!
We got detention for breaking into the underground tunnels at our high school... You could pop the lock on a door in the maintenance building that takes you down there.
