  1. IIRC Paddack when went out of his way claiming the facilities, coaching staff, and food with the Tigers was better than the Twins when we traded him there. I think that ship has sailed.
  2. I'd much rather give the late inning opportunities to a 26 year old with a potential future than the three 35+ year old pitchers we're keeping around for whatever reason. The Twins should be claiming guys like Gomez on the waiver wire as much as possible. Let's start building something instead of treading water at best with guys who won't be a part of the 2027 Twins and beyond (looking at you, Garcia, Topa, Banda, and Rogers).
  3. Same here. I'm not sure why the FO thinks a bullpen full of waiver wire/DFA trade acquisitions is going to work in their favor. Out of the 50+ waiver wire acquisitions made in the Falvey era, has anyone besides Brock Stewart worked out for more than a year? You would think one of the benefits of using this strategy on bullpen arms is discarding the ineffective pitchers without thinking twice. Yet we treat these old waiver wire pick ups like gold...
  4. Pretty big news this morning. Good luck to him continuing his dream of writing about the Twins!
  5. That was exactly the type of effort and performance to get back in the series. Great win last night
  6. Well that’s gonna be the Twins for a vast majority of this season. 100 losses is in our grasp.
  7. ? That’s news to me. 2024-2025: 50 starts - 245 IP - 4.11 ERA - 4.2 bWAR that’s a pretty damn solid #4 or 5 in MLB.
  8. Yeah I’m giving SWR at least 5 more starts before making any changes. He’s been a solid back end of the rotation pitcher for us. Can’t option him to St Paul. Can’t DFA him because a team will claim a 25 year old with an MLB track record in a heartbeat.
  9. Just make the trade for Andrew Chafin and admit it was dumb to let him walk out of here in spring training.
  10. Caratini is not an every day player. Never has been in his MLB career. Signing Josh Bell never made any sense for our roster. A clear play of hoping he's okay enough in July to trade him away.
  11. Recommend reading the unlocked article from Dan Hayes.
  12. That’s the fun part. The answer to your question is neither. There’s a clear disconnect between the preparation in the minors vs. reality in MLB.
  13. I got slightly annoyed last night because Luis Garcia is one of the worst Twins relievers I have ever watched. Today is your run of the mill bullpen blow up
  14. Fixed that for you.
  15. Justin Topa’s ERA after Wednesday April 30th, 3.29. Justin Topa’s ERA after Wednesday May 6th, 7.88
  16. I thought Joey Wentz was going to hold that crown for a long time after his 15.75 ERA in 8 innings last season. Give Garcia another 5 innings here and his ERA might be over 30.
  17. We’ve seen a lot of terrible relievers in a SSS over the years. Luis Garcia might be the worst of them all.
  18. Not the type of game I wanted to see on my birthday. Hopefully the Wolves make up for it but I won’t stay up to watch the whole thing.
  19. lol the same Kent we let go is finishing out this game for DC
  20. Just last week he had a low 3 ERA now it’s gonna balloon up to 6. He’s been difficult to root for since we traded Polanco for him and that other SP who didn’t throw a single pitch for us
