  1. You nailed it. The league is full of copy cat Kyle Shanahan and Sean McVay disciples. Every team runs essentially the same style of offense, and the DCs now have schemed ways to stop them (for now). What's interesting is McVay is changing his ways and is using jumbo 3 TE sets almost 50% of the time with immense success. I've been waiting for the year when a team zigs when everyone else zags and goes back to a smash mouth, run first offense. Go find a Lorenzo Neal/Tony Richardson and spam plays from the I-formation.
  2. He rated positively at defense and showed some pop playing in Baltimore. Sounds like a good enough backup C to me but YMMV.
  3. Getting a viable MLB backup C for a former lottery ticket minor league FA signing is a win in my book.
  4. What exactly did you expect to receive in a trade for a 26 year old, 5'5" former independent league baseball player? The odds are very much stacked against Eeles making it to MLB.
  5. Where we're going? We don't need any stinkin CBs....
  6. Once they trade one or both of Lopez and Ryan, and fill the gaps with the cheapest options they can find, I have all the faith in the world they can still end up a 100+ loss team.
  7. What you’re suggesting is running it back with the team in tact during September, which went 8-18 that month. Plus wishing on prospects. I’m not buying it.
  8. Where do you think this team is after July 31, 2025? We ARE in complete rebuild mode man. Come on.
  9. They do not. Welcome aboard for waking up and realizing what is happening right now.
  10. It's not Browns level of QBs, but since I became a fan in 1998, that's been the way of life for the Vikings. I fully understand that we're waiting for the rookie savior that we can finally rely on for 10+ years. It's becoming pretty clear after 5 games McCarthy is not going to be that guy. You can probably count on one hand in NFL history a player who has started out this terribly and turned it around. For every 1 Josh Allen, there are hundreds of Zach Wilsons who never make it. McCarthy is in the Zach Wilson bucket right now.
  11. Yes you do. What aspiring executive would willingly join this train wreck right now? Falvey is here to get the pending sale over the finish line after the lockout then he’s gone.
  12. It Sounds Like Kody Clemens Will Be the Twins' Starting First Baseman
  13. As the famous philosopher Stefon Diggs said “There’s truth to all rumors”
  14. It was fan fiction in the McCarthy draft that Harbaugh would take his college QB and trade Herbert for a kings ransom…. Then again Herbert was just benched last game so maybe that possibility is growing?
  15. As things stand right now, the top QBs in the draft class are Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza - previously terrible at UCLA or Cal can’t remember off the top of my head - who is now looking good with quality coaching. The other is Alabama QB Ty Simpson who is just a 1 year starter. Those type of guys are very risky bets. I think we have to bring in a veteran better than Wentz regardless for 2026. Depending how the next 7 games play out, that veteran could range from Jacoby Brissett/Joe Flacco types to calling up the Chargers for Justin Herbert.
  16. My leash with him is the next 7 games… If he still looks this bad on the field, that is probably enough to justify cutting bait after 1 year a la Anthony Richardson and Josh Rosen.
  17. Credit where credit is due since I’ve been pretty critical of Dallas Turner. Yesterday was his best game as a pro by far.
  18. I’m not just inventing this out of thin air. Alec Lewis wrote about the growing tension in the locker room on the Athletic. The beat reporters in the locker room have talked about the tone in the locker room changing this season.
  19. Your last paragraph is what I want to know. I’m not even remotely qualified to be a QB coach and I can see from my living room that McCarthy has clear mechanical flaws throwing the ball. How is it possible for an NFL HC to not see that? Do we have a Tim Tebow on our hands? Meaning a guy who looks great in practice but during a live NFL game he crumbles under the bright lights? If there isn’t a fracture between KOC and Kwesi there will be after the season with all of the finger pointing they’re going to do. This gamble literally torpedoed the season… If we had just league average QB play we would be 7-3 right now at a minimum.
  20. If the next 7 games goes how I think it will, then we are going to have some really difficult conversations heading into the offseason. The first question I have if I’m Mark Wilf is what did they see in McCarthy to feel confident in handing him the keys to the offense? Because we are 5 games into his tenure, and we’re talking about basic mechanical flaws in his passes. If I’m the Wilfs I’m asking why did I just spend the most money in the league on this roster when the QB was so flawed from the start?
  21. This game has been a snoozer so far
  22. Oh I'm pretty certain he stinks.
  23. McCarthy needs to show significant strides over the next 7 games, and I don't know if he has it in him. If he continues to look like this, how could we possibly head into 2026 thinking he's our starting QB again?
  24. You're getting your answer how Sanders could possibly be worse than Gabriel today. He stinks
