  1. Is it too late to ask someone to photoshop Kenneth Grant wearing a bong gas mask?
  2. Are we sure this game is going to happen today? It’s currently raining outside my window 5 miles west of TF and supposed to rain all afternoon.
  3. I’m a Longhorns fan and watched a lot of their games last fall. Collins is a beast and I would love to find a way to draft him. He’s not going to be a flashy 10 sack per season guy. But he clogs up the running lanes in the middle. He’ll be one of those dudes that quietly plays 10+ years in the NFL.
  4. FWIW, Paul Allen on his radio show thinks it’ll be OL - Tyler Booker or Grey Zabel. It’s one of the only days of the year I will torture myself listening to his show on KFAN.
  5. Give me someone in the trenches all day long. DT - Kenneth Grant or Derrick Harmon OL - Grey Zabel, Simmons or Jackson from Ohio State If those are off the board, you can talk me into going 1998 on the offense and taking a WR or RB. The late steam is this safety from South Carolina but I have little to no interest in taking another 1st round safety.
  6. That Applebees in Green Bay is going to be buzzing tonight. Hope they got the frozen margarita machine tuned up to handle the demand
  7. https://www.startribune.com/tony-oliva-kent-hrbek-health-problems-stroke-patrick-reusse-column/601337580 Pat Reusse wrote a story this morning that both Tony Oliva and Kent Hrbek experienced a stroke earlier this month…
  8. Agreed. There’s been a stench over this organization for several years now. As I posted in Brock’s thread, I will accept a disaster season if it ends up addressing the deep rooted issues here.
  9. Let it burn, baby! I’ll accept dreadful baseball if it means the organization will address deep rooted issues that have been holding them back for years.
  10. Winning games helps. But really, I think the past 18 months have pushed a lot of fans to their breaking point. People are speaking with their wallets, and that’s all we can do until the Pohlads sell the team. Yesterday was an ideal spring evening to be outside and catch a game. I’d be willing to bet there were more butts in seats at the Saints game than the Twins.
  11. Can MN sports do a 3 peat tonight? Twins win, Wolves playoff game getting underway, and the Wild start in another hour 💤
  12. Tonight is a perfect spring night. Didn’t watch a second of the game, but I am considering going to the game tomorrow. Because it will be another perfect spring night
  13. And they’ve done a bad job of that too. I had a conversation about this with my friend group at happy hour recently. Mid 30s, married, young kids. The only way they would attend a Twins game is if their work provided free tickets.
  14. Hey now… We have all of May to point out the 2019 Washington Nationals were 19-31 before they won the WS. But after June 1 all bets are off
  15. If you dig back far enough in the archives I liked Mackenzie Gore the most. He’s been okay but not a game changer. Greene was on our radars obviously but there’s tons of risk with HS pitchers.
  16. Probably not gonna get any better now that we’re entering road construction season
  17. If there’s concern of a TD bias in the sample, this article was shared on the Minnesota Twins subreddit with 90 more negative comments about the Pohlads. So it appears to be pretty universal amongst Twins fans.
  18. Who do you think is more likely to purchase Twins products? Someone who participates on a forum about the Twins or 75 year old Dorothy walking her dog around Lake Harriett? If I wanted to prove no one cares about Porsche automobiles I’d go to a flower store and ask 20 random people to get that conclusion too.
  19. The funny thing is they were actually building a lot of goodwill from 2019-2022! The Bomba squad year was fun, even though they didn’t do enough to supplement pitching. 2020 the Pohlads paid all of the minor leaguers and org staff full salaries when other teams chose not to. 2022 they make a big splash signing Correa and adding salary at the trade deadline. But all of that was destroyed in the 2023-24 offseason
  20. Agreed. We don’t even need access to the locker room to see that. I’ve played on bad sports teams as a kid, and reported into doorknob managers in my corporate life. I know that look on their face…. The look of disengagement. Going through the motions until the season is over, or finding a new job.
  21. What are you hoping to conclude from that sample?
  22. It got late really early in this season. The playoffs are a long shot at best. The only way I see it happening is if prospects come up and ball out. So empty the cupboards and let’s see what we got. There’s plenty of fat to trim on the 40 man roster
  23. This is a thread talking about the previous week, and in his last 5 starts he’s batting .150/.182/.350 OPS .532. Julien has 1 game out of 18 with more than 1 hit in the game. Maybe you’re arguing the whole offense stinks. And I agree with that
  24. The TV debacle in 2024 was the final straw for me. It showed just how far they will go to make an extra $20 million.
