  1. Brock Stewart back home to the Dodgers
  2. Kiersey’s bat can’t get any worse right? I guess we will find out
  3. I will miss him. Hope we prioritize signing him in free agency this winter.
  4. I will miss Bader. Him and Buxton were the only position players we had that played the game with hustle and swagger.
  5. Mason Miller traded to the Padres for a haul - 3 pitchers and #3 overall prospect in baseball Leodalis De Vries. Wow
  6. Agreed. Don’t half ass this sell off. Falvey started it, now he’s got to complete it today.
  7. Let’s keep the transactions going. Biggest decisions today are Jax and Correa. And we should probably trade away both. Then flip Castro, Bader, and Coulombe for whatever at the end
  8. Apologies in advance to the mods for being off topic, but we’re 13 pages into 1 trade of many that will happen in the next day. You’re touching the surface of roles that are affected. It’s literally going to be multiple millions of jobs today that will be extinct in less than a decade. Every single industry and role will be impacted. The only things I see as futures for young children are manual labor/service based jobs and getting extremely lucky in STEM.
  9. One of the biggest keys to a quick turnaround is solid starting pitching, and unless things change by tomorrow evening, we will retain Lopez, Ryan, and Ober to build upon. The rest of this season is figuring out who 4 and 5 are in that group. The rest of the group you mentioned have several candidates who could be bullpen arms next year to replace Duran, and potentially Jax/Stewart who are shipped out (Raya, Priellipp, Morris, Culpepper) Correa is the biggest decision tomorrow. If he’s open about being traded back to Houston I likely take advantage of that opportunity. We may or may not have talented hitters. What I really want to find out is how the team reacts with new management. I would fire Rocco tomorrow and A/B test how they do with Tingler over the next 2 months.
  10. It was my attempt to discredit an important accomplishment that you’ve earned vs. a fellow human because some program is determined to be more efficient or “better”. I want humans to still matter, and AI within 2 years or less will overtake millions of jobs previously held by humans. I am terrified about this technology disrupting the world.
  11. Why would I care about your human vs human accomplishments? You said yourself AI is way better. That’s pretty sweet. I like the computer more.
  12. Sounds like you’re not going to be a national master in chess much longer. Just like the journalists who were apart of mass layoffs because an AI program can slop together an article without getting paid money. You’re on the right side of history!
  13. Target Field might as well double up on profit as a funeral home for the next 2 months.
  14. That’s the way sports journalism is going sadly. I support individuals who I know put in good work (they’re typically independent now) and the ones tied to SI, ESPN, etc. are no better than ChatGPT anymore. Sad, really.
  15. Digital literacy is at an all time low. You are giving a 19 year old from San Francisco more credit than warranted.
  16. For the record, Sports Illustrated is now an AI article generated hub. This is the picture of the “author” from that article. He looks like he gets carded at any bar he goes to.
  17. Seems like you found the highest arm chair to laugh at the peasants here. Congrats.
  18. Have we ever had a reliever close to Duran’s caliber? We paid out Perkins
  19. If the roles were reversed, we would be jumping for joy acquiring one of the best RP in baseball for 2.5 years for our org’s 4th and 6th ranked prospects. Especially when one of them is light years away from making MLB
  20. We’re not exactly great at developing defense and he’s already questionable to stick at C at 18. An age where athleticism is near peak. I’ve got a bad feeling we’ll be talking about 1B/DH Eduard Tait in 2 years.
  21. Tait sounds like the same type of player Falvey continues to target over and over again. Bad defensively, slow speed, supposedly great bat for low A ball.
