  1. He’s completely overmatched at this level
  2. Michael Tonkin in the 9th inning of a tie game is a sick joke
  3. Over Kris Attebury absolutely. I guess I’m a sicko tonight listening to the game while walking my dog.
  4. Fun story on the radio broadcast team tonight. Wichita Wind Surge broadcaster Tim Grubb is calling this series for the Twins with Glen Perkins. Tim has called 4,000 minor league games and this is his MLB debut.
  5. Correa starting at 3B batting cleanup for the Stros tonight
  6. I’m open to suggestions. One is a 35 year old with an ERA above 6 in St Paul. The other is on his 4th MLB team this year.
  7. Pictured: Twins fans that choose to watch the game tonight
  8. Woof. That OF defense… Keep the ball on the ground Mr Ryan
  9. Of course waiver wire scrap heaps like Ramirez and Urena are priorities over any other breathing pitcher that has a future beyond 2025.
  10. Will Provus change his signature call from “Heeee struck him out!” to “Heeeee struck out!” Talking about our offense? So many exciting things happening in Twins Territory
  11. 42 HRs through July for him. Already the all time record for a switch hitting C in MLB history. Sal Perez has the all time record for C at 48 in 2021. Big Dumper should cruise through that. He’s currently on pace for 67 HRs…
  12. One of our local journalists needs to stay on this story… I remember when the bombshell was dropped about how toxic things got in the Vikings organization. Where Zimmer and Spielman weren’t on speaking terms for over a year. There’s something deeper going on at 1 Twins Way.
  13. I guess… Doesn’t that say everything we need to know about Rocco? Guy doesn’t have a backbone to say if you’re letting all of my players go let me go too?
  14. For a pure salary dump. College MBAs will create case studies on this organization how to destroy a brand in less than 18 months.
  15. Joe Pohlad is going full Major League on the bit. Correa’s comments are telling. Paddack didn’t have time to unpack his suitcase before saying everything about the Tigers is better than what he had with the Twins.
  16. Are we sure he’s still going to be a former Twin? When times are tough, play the nostalgia card
  17. You’re not going to find any disagreement from me. We should fire Rocco tonight too while we’re at it. I’m amazed he will likely be allowed to finish out the season. Edit: Amazed isn’t the correct term. Falvey literally proved he will trade 10 players away to keep his friend employed.
  18. This regime has always been weird about announcing coach contracts. For all we know the option was picked up in February. Dan Hayes just caught wind of it and announced it during one of our worst stretches of the season at the time.
  19. As far as the topic at hand… Here’s my rough guess at a lineup for the next week or two… C - Jeffers 1B - Sabato 2B - Clemens SS - Lee 3B - Lewis LF - Larnach CF - Buxton RF - Wallner DH - Keaschall By Sept 1… Jeffers - Clemens - Julien - Lee - Lewis - Rodriguez - Buxton - Larnach - Keaschall I assume Keaschall will be extremely limited throwing and play mostly DH.
  20. Not sure that’s fair to him. I would have never brought him back for 2025 after last season’s epic collapse for the record. But the players did this to themselves. They’re professional athletes and played lifeless baseball from the get go this season.
  21. Today feels like a proper day to appreciate the Wilfs as owners of the Vikings. They may have been too hands off at times during the Zimmer years, but there hasn’t been any question about their desire to win.
  22. I’ll look and see how they manage to fill out a roster for tomorrow… But there’s no way in hell I’m wasting time in the near future watching this team on TV. And unless there’s an organized Sell the Team protest for a home game, I won’t spend a dime attending TF the rest of the season.
  23. I’m sure baseball historians like Jayson Stark and Buster Olney are on the case. My guess is we just witnessed a historic fire sale.
  24. What happened today, and 4 months later when the offseason begins, will be more extreme than anything the Miami Marlins did. It’s astounding.
