I am saying that the Twins should keep Meyer as a regular starter, keeping giving him as many innings as possible. If he still has control issues at the age of 30, move him to the bullpen and reduce his repertoire to 1-2 of his best pitches. If he can't control a one-pitch repertoire, he needs to start bagging groceries at the market.
"I don't see how that would be good. Walks aren't good out of the bullpen either"
The advantage is that a relief pitcher does not need to control three pitches. One (see Mariano Rivera) or two pitches is sufficient for a one or two inning reliever.

"inevitable slide into confusion and ineptitude as his motivation and enthusiasm wanes. (there;s a bunch of 3-4 syllable words for you"....That slide may have been inevitable for you, but it is avoidable for the rest of us.
"he posted a 0.0 WAR last year"
WAR!!What is it good for?
Absolutely nothing! Uh-huh. Say it again, y'all!
WAR!huh, good God!
What is it good for? Absolutely nothing!
If Gardy were here, the boys would be batting their tails off. Hicksy, Dozy, Ploofy, Maui, Zookey, would be having good at-bats, and the ball would be coming nicely out of the hands of Hughesy, Gibby, Noley, Perky, Pelly, May-day and Tonky.
I'd be surprised to see Beresford getting a shot prior to September unless they jettison some 40-man filler.
Bernier is the future jettisoned 40-man filler, unless someone elsegoes on the 60-day DL to replace E.Santana.
In earlier decades, the palmball was thrown by Ewell Blackwell. If Ewell Blackwell threw a palmball, it was likely from the sidearm slot. Blackwell was successful to to his length and arm angle which sometimes made RH hitters relieve themselves.
If/when Hicks succeeds, his long term role is in LF, not CF. Hicks should be a RIGHT-fielder with one of the strongest throwing arms in the organization.
