  1. "David hurls a stone from his sling with all his might and hits Goliath in the center of his forehead, Goliath falls on his face to the ground, and David cuts off his head" Rosario has an arm like a sling. Tat is as far back as I an go!
  2. And ask the SECOND poster to use the word "blunderbuss"(and therefore the ONLY possible plagiarist), I can say with TOTAL certainty that it was COMLETELY RANDOM! I read the first "blunderbuss" AFTER I posted the second one. So make it a million to one!
  3. Jason Tyner had a "Mazooka Marshmallow Bazooka" for an arm.
  4. Ben Revere has a Blunderbuss for an arm!
  5. And those who say "a cannon for an arm" must be referring to terrible accuracy!
  6. Without Jepsen: 1) May would now be the closer.(instead of Jepsen) 2) Fien would now pitch the 8th inning.(instead of May) 3) Duensing and/or Boyer would now pitch the 7th inning.(instead of Fien) 4) Some other dog is on the staff, who shouldn't be there. Consider the Domino Effect when you decide how many games Jepsen was worth!
  7. I was looking for Baseball America's opinions to refute that, but instead surprisingly, found that BA rated Navaretto the #1 defensive catcher in the Midwest League (Low-A), while Turner and Garver were NOT the #1 defensive catchers in their respective leagues (in AA and High-A respectively). So thank you for forcing me to re-educate myself. You are right. Navaretto is a guy according to BA.
  8. To answer my own question, the playoff roster isn't submitted until right before the playoff series. Anyone on the July 31 25-man roster, who is injured AT THE TIME OF PLAYOFF ROSTER SUBMISSION, may be replaced on the playoff roster. I think I got it......
  9. "Any player who is either - on the 25 man major league roster, or - on the disabled list (7, 15, or 60 day DL), or - on the suspended list, or - on bereavement leave, or - on military active duty as of midnight on August 31st, is automatically eligible to be on the club’s post season roster. In addition, a club can replace any player who is injured at the time that playoff rosters are submitted" So any player on the original 25-man-playoff-roster (who was injured at the time playoff rosters are submitted) could be replaced by Turner. Has that playoff roster been submitted?..and is it available to the public, yet?
  10. I don't think Turner could be made eligible for the playoffs.
  11. If Bill Belichick was the Cedar Rapids manager.......
  12. Suzuki is a tough SOB that don't need no stinkin' backup! If he got decapitated, he would stay in the game!
  13. I refuse to be the Spelling Police, but I had to laugh when I read that. Everybody controls their own "DENSITY"! Just mix in a salad once in a while!
  14. "Reputation seems like the key ingredient, which Rosario doesn't have--yet" Absolutely true!! And the #2 key ingredient is OFFENSIVE performance. That SHOULD NOT be factored into Gold Glove voting, BUT it is.
  15. You can probably get seats behind (or in front of) second base.
  16. You're right! No positivity allowed here!
  17. I like Rex Hudler's POSITIVITY!!!
  18. Not if I were the Tigers, but they could help the Twins, Jays or Mets in August September and October.
  19. I would rather have Price and Cespedes!
  20. Gardy will be hired as soon as the Tigers can identify the Bowling Alley at which he is living.
  21. Is it painful for a Tiger to battle his tail off?
  22. Thanks, mickeymental. I thought you were being critical of TR, as I am accustomed to reading here.
  23. The rest of the 25-man roster were signed by the Twins as MLB free agents, drafted free agents, and international free agents. Exceptions: Trevor May (trade for Ben Revere) and JR Graham (Rule V pick)
  24. Except for that sentence (with which I could not possibly disagree more!), I agree with you.
  25. On another subject: RIP Joaquin Andujar..... "There is one word in America that says it all,and that word is:'You never know.' "
