  1. Seriously, what the hell does Stephen Gonsalves have to do to get a call up. Last three starts, 21 IP, 6 hits, 6 BB, 25 SO, 0 ER. Oh, and btw, the 5 starts before that averaged 6 innings per start with a total of 4 earned runs. Can't wait until they offer Hector Santiago arbitration.
  2. Despite a down year in 2015, Meyer's last 10 appearances last year in AAA were very effective. 22.2IP 15H 3ER 10BB 22SO
  3. I'm sure he has a sour taste in his mouth from his first call up. It could go a long way toward next years success giving him another look while he is going good. Rochester's season is over and there is nothing to lose by giving him another look.
  4. Meyer has put toether a nice run in AAA. Last seven outings 15.2 without an earned run. 10hit, 6BB and 19 k's.
  5. I am speaking about the last game of the Seattle series. Newly acquired Kevin Jepson comes in, and walks the first two batters of the 11th inning. With two lefties coming up, Molly shrewdly opts for a lefty out of the pen. Ryan O'Rourke is available, and has been lights out against lefties striking out 10 of the 17 left handed batters he has faced. Instead Molly selects Brian Duensing and his 900 OPS against lefties. Duensing gives up a run scoring double right away and then intentionally walks the next lefty. I have a hard time with that decision. The team really needed a 3-1 series win instead of a split.
  6. Pelfry is 12th in the AL in ERA. If he sustains that there is no reason to not recoup at something. We have Milone, Rogers, Duffy, and Berrios as rotation depth even with Meyer flaming out like he has this year
  7. Hopefully, Pelfry can sustain this level of success until the trade deadline. That would do wonders in helping the organization return at least something on a 2 1/2 year investment. He will be very attractive with an expiring contact and less than three million owed
  8. Putting up decent triple AAA numbers. Is it time to send Florimon packing and bring up the 30 something minor league veteran? The guy seemed to be an above average glove at shortstop last year when he was called up.
  9. You must have forgotton from last year. Pelfrey is a "sponge" that all these youngsters on the pitching staff could gain something from. Doesn't mattter is you can pitch. Hell, this year we don't even have any youngsters on the staff, but we still have Pelfrey
  10. When you are loading the plane how about including Colabello, with a demotion for either Parmalee or Ramirez
  11. Gibson has a no hitter into the eighth today on 76 pitches, but we have to watch Pedro Hernandez suck again today. 107 pitches in 4.1 innings.
  12. My feeling is, Gibson is a homegrown Twin, that was drafted and developed by the Twin's organization. Why should a anybody with less than a year in the organization get the next start. It's a no brainer, they both started last night and Gibson could easily replace Pedro and be on his rest schedule. Because of injury, they took a chance on Arcia and he has proved that sometimes young players deserve a shot, though Hicks has been the opposite. My main concern is that it doesn't send a very good message to future Twin's prospects. Nobody held a gun to Kyle Gibson's head demanding he sign with us. It is time we reward him for doing so.
  13. has turned him into an impatient wild-swinging hacker. Career before the injury, he had 415/595 BB/K which is excellent for a power threat with MVP type numbers. Since the injury, he has 20/51 BB/K(1/7 this season is ridiculous even for a small sample size). He has become a easy out and rally killer by absolutely swinging out of his shoes at nearly every pitch. Opposing pitchers need not throw him a strike, because Justin will definitely extend the strike zone. He fortunately connected once this year, but I am ready for the return of the old Justin any time he wants to knock this crap off.
  14. Early returns on Willingham have been very nice. Nothing cheap about his home runs when he makes good contact. And the best part is he doesn't have a mental block about hitting them at Target Field like some of the teammates seem to.
  15. Gardy almost certainly will stick with Valencia today, because he is 2-9 lifetime against Weaver with both hits being home runs
