    Maybe these "people" realize that this in not the same front office that was in place during those 26 years and the loss of a battle for the top ranked SP does not cause these "people" to immediately grab torches and pitch forks. Some "people" seem to love to go to the other extreme and pretend to have some privileged insight into what the front office is doing, or not doing and damn them for moves made or not made.

    Agree to a point. The meat of the Twins' roster is young and not currently sucking a ton of salary. That is going to change rapidly in the next 3+ years. I would hate to see year 5-6 of Darvish's contract cause the Twins to lose a Berrios, Buxton or Sano.

    So the Twins missed out on the top SP available. That means they didn't make a serious offer? I wouldn't give Darvish (or anyone besides Kershaw) a 6 year deal.

    This just makes me sad. Some similarities to the assault allegations against Kirby Puckett in 2006. While Kirby was eventually acquitted, it did tarnish his star in many eyes. I really hope that if the allegations are true (and I see no reason to doubt them), that Miguel will be punished and can get treatment and ultimately find redemption.

    Can we all agree that in spite of losing the Ohtani sweepstakes, this has been a pretty good couple days for the future of the Twins? I'm kinda giddy.

    Yay, I can listen on my old-timey 1930's console radio again! The AM + the tube hum puts the game atmosphere in a whole other realm. That, plus Go96 is not good baseball habitat.

    One of my favorite Twins players. I am hoping a Japanese contract is in his future, because I am pretty confident that would be his best path at this point.

    Does Molitor deserve another year? I've never been a big fan, but yes, he definitely does. The team does seem to be on his side. I'd like to see what happens with a beefed up bullpen. Short leash, but I'm onboard.

    Sorry to see him go. One of my favorite Twins of the last 20 years and seemed like a good MLB managerial candidate. He'll no doubt land another gig somewhere else.

    I I think there have been fewer mental errors as the season has played out.Eddie is definitely high strung. I really believe that once he settles down he is going a hell of a ballplayer.

    Just want to remind the doubters. Eddie has something. Does he occasionally do stupid things - yes. But as he matures we are seeing less of that. He is a ballplayer.

    I think I'd be happy with an even split of Smalley, Torii and Hawkins in the FSN booth next year. A good, entertaining, informative combo.
