    Put a fork in the Twins they are done. You just cant compete with quality teams without having a decent coach and quality pitchers. Major improvement from last year but this team is a long ways from actually being able to be considered a contender.

    This game is over. Had to play perfect ball against Houston.

    You dont sit a player who has smashed the ball 3 weeks ago and was looking like he was an all star. You play him and hope he goes on a run. If this was the case everytime someone slumps than we should of sat Dozier and Buxton for a good part of the year.

    Trade Vargas and be done with it. His value is moderate right now and you probably could get a couple of prospects for him at least.

    The double steal, bunt attempt, and the inability to understand when a player is in a slump yet having him pinch hit with the game on the line.

    I will start believing in this team when they can win against teams outside of our division on a regular basis.

    Gibsons spot start really showed us something.......you always trust stats when dealing with baseball. The Twins will barely be a .500 team. We wont win against west and east coast teams if we dont make some serious changes. Gibson should of never gotten the start in the first place.

    I understand the entire being a fan and not being negative. I get it, but I have been a fan for 20 years and you are living a pipe dream if you think Gibson gives us any shot when he is on the mound.

    I don't hold out much hope for this series. As many posters have mentioned, the Twins simply can not handle anyone outside of their division. One of the reasons why it is so hard to be a fan is simply because the management continues to do this year after year. Our holes in our pitching is going to sink this ship. How can anyone think Gibson is a valuable option when the guy simply cant hit the corners and his fastball tops off at 90 if he is lucky. I wish this team would not wait so damn long to make any changes.

    There is no indication that Gibson will throw well instead there is every indication he will throw poorly. The Twins need to stop this nonsense. Dump Gibson, dump Hughes. Hopefully we can get cash for them. Give someone from AAA a shot and maybe pick up some junk from FA, better yet Trade Dozier for a starter. You have options, but the Twins should make some type of move because if they dont given the current stats, we will continue to simply be an average team with no shot at the playoffs. Alot of smoke and mirrors right now for this team.

    I remember you saying something about that trade, I also wish they would of traded Dozier during the winter meetings.

    Mauer is seeing the ball well and his defense is good.

    He hit a good one tonight but in no way does that show that he is at the point in being an everyday player.

    Pull Buxton and win the game......hmmmmm the Twins might be on to something.

    He hasnt shown he can be an everyday batter. He is still chasing the high fastball and needs to have more disipline at the plate.
