  1. For me, Escobar is a non-factor and we have no idea how Gordon will be in a few years. I wouldn't take either of them into consideration. Dozier, he should be putout there for trade bait as an established 2Ber so we can have the younger on base machine (Polanco) play 2B. He won't be, but should be. Polanco should be the everyday shortstop right now until Gordon forces him out (if Gordon is ever good enough for that to happen). Then he needs to be moved to 2B to replace Dozier.
  2. 72 plate appearances at the MLB level this year, only 5 Ks. Only 8 Ks in 92 MLB appearances. That's insane! Makes me wonder why they waited so long with him. He is already a very polished hitter and should start every game.
  3. this team has gotten to the point where I expect us to win close games. If we're down by a couple runs I expect us to come back, and I'm not waiting for them to find a way to lose the game. This is fun baseball right now. And MAN, Polanco and Kepler need to be permanent fixtures in the lineup.
  4. they are shooting for a loss record that DOESN'T start with 9. And it could happen. They could get to 73 or more wins.
  5. yup, happens all the time....
  6. Go big or go home, I say ;-)
  7. Kepler and Mauer co-players of the week.
  8. our 25th man is starting yet again. SHOCKED!
  9. Nope, worst record in same league and every team in that league before worst team in opposing league.
  10. the first name that popped in my head was Maybin.
  11. I'm not a subscriber and I can't seem to find the info.
  12. Why are our expectations to blame? What kind of expectations should we have for a guy so highly touted by everyone for so long? He's not even achieving mild expectations.
  13. Did we put anyone on waivers?
  14. He's not reaching even mild expectations at this point, much less extremely high expectations
  15. Bradley also never broke the top 20 in prospect listings. Our guy was top 2 for three years straight. It's weird we keep having to compare a guy so highly rated fr so long to just everyone his age/first X amount of PAs. Can't we have higher expectations for a guy so highly rated for so long? I want to know when we are allowed to be disappointed without getting ragged on for being disappointed? Does he have to be 25? 26? How old exactly?
  16. All this does is confirm to me that there's talent of be had throughout the draft. I'd be ecstatic to have a Corey Seager or an Addison Russell right now and it didn't take a top 10 pick to get either? Our 1st round picks from '06-'11. All of them stink. That's 11 straight 1st round picks.
  17. sorry, not everyone knows that. my bad :-)
  18. I don't ever want Polanco in the OF. just say no!
  19. Why does Escobar have to play? I mean, other than utility IF?
  20. that's the answer to Life, The Universe and Everything. 42, no matter what the question.
  21. Congrats to Ichiro!!!! Newest member of the 3000 hit club. Did it with a triple. Just like our current manager did!
  22. Seems like best case scenario. Though Danny Santana will probably play 75% of the time. I didn't account for that, I guess.
  23. C: Suzuki 1B: Mauer 2B: Dozier SS: Polanco 3B: Sano (vs righties), Plouffe (vs. lefties) LF: Grossman CF: Rosario RF: Kepler DH Vargas (vs righties), Sano (vs. Lefties) Escobar: Utility IF.
