I certainly would trade Susuki at the deadline... unless we are in first place!
  2. Homer Hanky
Would anyone do this trade? Danny Santana and Ricky N For Melvin Upton Jr
  3. Homer Hanky
I find his defensive woes as a sign that the Twins are trying to turn him into that supper utility guy... which is a GREAT thing in my opinion! If he can hit and fill in at 8 positions... then this is good... Then Maybe we can let Nunez go and keep a little more pop on the bench!

I like this game so I throw out my suggestion... Dozier 2B Mauer 1B Buxton CF Sano 3B Arcia LF Park DH Rosario RF Murphy C Escobar SS bench- Suzuki, Santana, Nunez, Free Agent with some pop...* the idea of Ploof replacing Nunez would make me happy!
  5. Homer Hanky
yeah... why not! Plouffe can hit better then nunez... so why not?

has anyone talked about the idea of moving ploooof to the outfield? he was out there before he grew up and matured as a GREAT hitter! thoughts?
  7. Homer Hanky
it sounds like he is perfect for that 3rd catcher spot... traveling between MN and Rochester NY

I love this... Thanks Seth for being so quick on the updates... Do you think they will try to trade Susuki? They could if they wanted too...

Sano is much faster than people gives him credit for, considerably faster than Mauer. But I think Sano to the OF is a smoke screen. I think Plouffe has played his last game for the Twins. I agree with the smoke screen... and I hope that Plouffe is traded for MANY good bullpen arms!

I'm wondering with this signing and the talk of sano to the outfield as a possibility... what do people think of moving Mauer out there... instead of Sano?
  11. Homer Hanky
I like the idea of trying Johan...
  12. Homer Hanky
25 million total... I think this is a GREAT risk... Great job TR
  13. Homer Hanky
I am glad to see Benson back... Good signing TR

Any thoughts on signing Catcher John Hicks to add depth... he seems like he can hit for average... OR are we done with guys named Hicks... Aaron traded and Dalton available for Rule 5 thots?
  15. Homer Hanky
Why would they just release him... he has great #'s?
  16. Homer Hanky
They may have given up on him to early but, could they have gotten a good catcher with out giving up on him... Since i can't have the best of both worlds... I'm glad we made the trade... and hope that Murphy can be the Catcher we need... GREAT write up!

A few dark horse signings like this are fantastic... However I do hope we go out and get a few sure things when it comes to the bullpen... Plooooof is a great player that can be traded for some sure fire bullpen arms!
  18. Homer Hanky
great stuff.... i like this guy...
  19. Homer Hanky
great write up... thanks! I'm excited!

Anyone know about this... minor league signing... from the TRIB??? "Twins sign former Giants lefty to minor-league contract Dan Runzler is a candidate for the bullpen; team also re-signs two veterans for Class AAA Rochester."
  21. Homer Hanky
still plenty of time to trade plooooooof and susuki for luuuuuuuuuucroy!
  22. Homer Hanky
I cringe at the idea of an inexperienced SANO running full speed toward CF and killing Buxton... I could see many run ins out there. 1. Trade ploooof 2. Eddie Bux and Arcia with Hicks #4 [Trade Arcia when Kepler is ready...] 3. Sano at 3B
  23. Homer Hanky
Every team will have a few What If's... The one that bugs me about my favorite 9 is... What if we had E. Santana all year... That is one that will haunt me!
  24. Homer Hanky
Gibson on DL and May starting... Why not Berrios?
  25. Homer Hanky
Has anyone talked about the idea of trading E. Santana for another stud picture that can actually pitch in the post season... I hate thinking about E. Santana kicking but the rest of the year and then not being able to pitch in the post season. If we traded E. Santana who would we want in return that has a similar contract or even more friendly... Someone on the Rays... ?
