  1. I want to say "immature" but will refrain from doing so as such a comparison could only serve to vilify young people like myself.
  2. Oh ... Regardless, while the square peg may not have fit as well as a round one, it would've slowed the flow. Anything is better than nothing ... never forget that.* And there's always the issue of being lynched for failing to post any rally icon. I'll refrain from commenting on the May reference as this is a game thread. *Excepting the case of the Olsen Twins.
  3. I blame you for slacking out on your Rally Rum duties. That's when this team went to pot for the second time this season ... and the first time was because of your extended hiatus from the site. It's all your fault. Now get back to work and help us win some games, or I'll send you down to AAA. Edit: And it isn't the relief you should be thanking, either; the starters did their job and did it well. They deserve a little more credit than you're willing to admit.
  4. If Jepsen can go through a fastball unscathed, he should also be able to get through an inning with minimal damage done ... However, I'm beginning to wonder.
  5. Lol ... kind of like how you couldn't help but root for Ben Revere if he was in the HRD?
  6. Abad joke is grammatically correct. If not, it's just abad attempt at abad joke.
  7. Doctor recommends weight loss. / I wanted to wink, but as you seem to recognize a negative aura surrounding such actions, I refrained from doing so. Commend me.
  8. At your service, sir. How may I help you today?
  9. Thanks Bruno. I followed your advice and homered!
  10. Gardy: We don't play for wins, we play for PRIDE. That's it, fire Gardy. It's the key to a successful Twins team.
  11. LOSAH!!! http://i.imgur.com/n7dJb.gif
  12. This solution brought to you by Homer Simpson: http://img.pandawhale.com/post-31566-Homer-Simpson-fail-gif-you-tri-1Sbv.gif
  13. I've learned to take them unemotionally.
  14. Obviously, the well being of our country depends on having a Republican in the White House.
  15. As "electric stuff" is obviously a dying art in Minnesota, replacing the phrase can only be equitable. "If a Lamborghini sped down the Autobahn in the wrong direction, the ensuing chaos couldn't possibly be worse than this team's pitching right now."
  16. Supposing the suave gentleman isn't in control of this and is merely a bearer of bad news, so to speak. He has no control over fate, and though he has no idea how much money you have, unless you give him all of it, you will lose your ability to love - even if you eventually see the error of your ways and wipe out your savings to try to remedy the fact.
  17. Okay ... so people would do it. The sad thing about it is, only a dumb person would do it ... and that means all that money in the hands of a moron who can't love but is still capable of hate ... wowza. Unless, of course, love and hate are passions which go hand in hand, and without love, there could be no hate. In that case, maybe I'd do it for reasons Mike stated previously ... get a lawyer, sign a contract saying that once in my possession $x is to go to y and so forth, take the money, and shoot myself in the head.
  18. Alright, this is ridiculous. I mean, no one would ever do that ... I hope ... I mean, c'mon, if you took the money, you'd immediately be in a predicament of all sorts. You wouldn't know what to use the money for since you wouldn't have any interest in anything - not even baseball. You wouldn't even donate to charities because you would have zero compassion for anyone. You wouldn't even find consolation in the fact that you were rich because you wouldn't love the money. Now, if said suave gentleman told you you'd never experience love again unless you gave him all your money ... and you lived in a world where such things were possible and you didn't dare say "**** off," would you? I would.
  19. We probably did. / Yes, millennials are perfectly capable of taking jabs at their generation.
  20. This reminds me of when my little brother used to sing this when he thought no one could hear him ... he was waaaay better at the high f's, but then again, he was nearly 10 years younger.
  21. You're absolutely right; I no longer qualify as a fan.
  22. This is the best thing I've heard in a long, long time. In honor of the occasion, I would like to respectfully ask the powers that be to unpin the old page (especially since it was locked a few weeks ago anyway) and pin this.
  23. Alright, time for a revolution! Everyone, take up your arms and get those prospects covered! Adopt anyone you want ... we'll take care of the rest. But for cripes' sake, get us on our feet, please. This is just ****ing overwhelming, especially since like Shane Wahl said, the regulars didn't even have a say in this. Shane Wahl and goulik should both have been consulted imo. I mean, c'mon, they're the ones who were doing it all ... you can't just expect them to take more responsibility for something they've been VOLUNTEERING to do without consulting them first ... and don't even say we're not held to it, because we know that ... we just all want AAP to last, and I for one don't want to be held responsible for over a dozen players just because I sign up for one.
  24. They do say the story gets better every time ...
