Heh ... my first job was signing envelopes in calligraphy for a wedding for $66. They said it was a small wedding ... it didn't feel small signing all those envelopes. If people are willing to dump $66 into signing envelopes for a small wedding, that must mean it's just a drop in the barrel in comparison to the other expenses. I think I'll stay clear of such business when it comes to personal matters. I guess my latest job has been volunteering hours of time for my sister's employer. Of course, this turned out to be a bad thing, for when I ended up applying when there was a job opening, she saw no need to hire me since she could get the work for free. Though to be completely honest, I was occasionally paid in the form of something like potted flowers paid for by one of her employees, flowers which I a) had no need for and b) couldn't keep because my mom has allergies. Haha ... I broke that stupid code.

Okay ... I got bored and started filling in a form for a band name generator. I was supposed to put in random words and names, etc. One of the words I used was "stoning." I didn't mention the Twins at all (are they worth mentioning?), but it turns out this website collected cookies. I'm supposed to call my band "Stoning Twins." Sounds like a right good idea at that.

Poor Hrb. The Twins have caused him so much stress lately. When he saw that last play he just sat their and cackled hysterically like a decapitated chicken.

Sadly, I was banned from all secular music the other night. At least, I have to run everything past my mom first. "Did you know Kurt Cobain committed suicide?" "Prince was addicted to sex!") Okay, okay. It was actually Prince's passing that led to the prohibition of non-classical music in this household. The completion of a scarf I was knitting which just happened to be purple coincided almost exactly with Prince's passing, so I knew I had to call it "Purple Rain." I really am banned from the "Champagne Aria" from Don Giovanni though ... that all transpired when I first heard it with Bryn Terfel when I was ten or eleven and fell in love; at the first opportunity, I shared it with my brothers, and over the next few weeks we listened to it non-stop until everyone else got sick of it. It occurs to me that that's probably an unusual fifth grader's favorite song.
