  1. That's exactly it, though. He seems to have developed the mentality that now that he's in the major leagues, he has everything together and doesn't need to be coached because he knows what he's doing. His success as an athlete up until he hit the big leagues has gone to his head, and it comes off as arrogant and childish.
  2. Took the words right out of my mouth.
  3. Fair enough.
  4. Is it just me, or has this site (page?) died?
  5. You ARE old. Ten albums I'm digging at the moment, plus an unspecified honorary album: Nothing's Shocking (1988) - Jane's Addiction Incesticide (1992) - Nirvana Transmissions from the Satellite Heart (1993) - The Flaming Lips OK Computer (1997) - Radiohead Urban Hymns (1997) - The Verve The Man Who (1999) - Travis B.R.M.C. (2001) - Black Rebel Motorcycle Club Phoenix (2003) - The Warlocks Mezmirize (2005) - System of a Down Passover (2006) - The Black Angels Humbug (2009) - Arctic Monkeys Catch me tomorrow and I'll probably compile a completely different list.
  6. Sheesh ... a thread all of my own? I might blush. Jk ... thanks ... it's an honor to be your friend. And since this is my thread and I can do what I want with it, I'd like to take the liberty to honor another member who celebrated his birthday even more recently - Hrbowski. I doubt he'll ever see this, but I love that kid (even if he's a legal adult now), and it's been way too long since we've gently terrorized humanity with our good-natured shenanigans. My mom always told me friends come and go but siblings last forever; I guess that places Hrb in a complicated fusion of the two. Miss ya, bro. <3
  7. Not everyone's wife will settle for Green Mill.
  8. To be fair, it's not like she had a set location or belonged to a certain city/state and made said city/state proud to be able to call her their own (no insult, just ... y'know ... ). What I'm saying is, I've referred to the Minnesota and Saint Paul Chamber Orchestras in this very same possessive manner since I was about 8 years old. It may be disrespectful of the amount of work that happens both on stage and behind the scenes to make an orchestra, but at the same time I always felt it was more of a way to honor that work. I am proud to call this my state, my team, my orchestra. What bugs me is when people strewn out across the country call the Packers "us." Hardly. Go root for the Jets like any other self respection Connecticotian (no, the Patriots don't count because their fans lack self respect).
  9. We didn't win; they lost. Case closed. (Or, if you're a Twins fan, vice versa.)
  10. During my first Orchestra Hall concert, I saw him conduct Il Piffero della Notte with Adam Kuenzel soloing. I'll never forget that experience.

  12. Hai QT, u seem interesting // 19/F/MN looking for short term dating and casual sex Self Summary Non monagamous, married to the Twins since 2011 What I'm doing with my life Searching for position players to liven up the team a bit bc tbh improvement in any and every department would be welcomed with open arms Favorite players, memories, and food Justin Morneau, Torii Hunter undressing, and ... well ... this last criteria would be considered nsfw, so feel free to provide the details mentally You should message me if You want to hear more from me in these forums because, in answer to the last question, these days I rarely check in
  13. Happy New Year! http://cdn.fansided.com/wp-content/blogs.dir/229/files/2013/10/wainwrightWS1.gif
  14. Or maybe it's just rigged ... Okay, okay ... kale me ...
  15. Not supposed to drink ... listening to Cannibal Corpse and wiping tears from my eyes as I realize that my vote for Hillary actually counted.
  16. Happy gained an extra hour of chilling with friends the night before day!
  17. Today is National Hermit Day! It only takes seven years of absentia before someone is declared legally dead; this is something I would like to eventually accomplish in life. More importantly, it's National Cat Day! I want to say we need more cats in this world, but we really don't ... we need more responsible cat owners, and I personally need (want) more cats in my life. My aunt's cat: http://images4-cdn.ravelrycache.com/uploads/ThirdGrace97/406408115/20160916_080655.jpg The cat who condescended to let me sleep in its bed at the Airbnb I rented when I foolishly traveled to VA the other week: http://images4-cdn.ravelrycache.com/uploads/ThirdGrace97/406407652/IMG_20161025_124450.jpg And a presumably skilled hunter I briefly encountered as I left the Airbnb to wait for an Uber ride which ended up costing me $100 thanks to surge pricing, a marketing scheme used to take advantage of first year UVA students who aren't allowed to have cars. http://images4-cdn.ravelrycache.com/uploads/ThirdGrace97/406408282/IMG_20161017_151506.jpg And a kitty I wish I could adopt and might shed a tear or two over when his page disappears and I can no longer behold his adorableness. I've always wanted a black cat. :'( https://www.allpaws.com/adopt-a-cat/domestic-short-hair/4747809
  18. I love chocolate ... as a result of that, I won't be celebrating National Chocolate Day today because it's my day off work and I refuse to set foot outdoors. If you get my vague train of thought there ... I skimmed the last 15,000 pages since I last occupied this forum, and I just want to go on record and say there's nothing scary about flying monkeys.
  19. Okay, got it. Now that you mention it, I remember Van (and the rest of you) talking about this. I confess I know very little about public transportation.
  20. Eight more to go and it looks like we're actually gonna pull off bettering our '82 record! http://stream1.gifsoup.com/view1/1119390/darth-vader-dance-o.gif
  21. Wasn't this a national holiday? Of course Uber isn't national, so it's a moot point ...
  22. What about Uber?
  23. Oh, I don't know. That would potentially initiate a slight change of motif, but the theme would still be the same. "Hillary isn't fit to be the POTUS - she can't even make it to a 9/11 memorial service." The thing is, Clinton can't do anything right. Not a ****ing thing. If everything had gone to plan at the ceremony, chances are no one would know she was sick. I suspect it's just a risk she was willing to take - unfortunately, it didn't go too well. This tweet sums the whole situation up quite nicely.
