  1. Do you Zach Granite or Tanner English can turn into serviceable MLB 4th outfielders? Or do both just seem destined for minor league organizational depth? Big year for both
  2. Would love to see the organization keep every possible catcher at catcher until proven they can't catch. Everything I've read says he has a pretty good arm and seems intelligent. Look how valuable Chris Hermann was around the league. It would be awesome to find another guy who could possible hit much better then Hermann did. Gotta like catchers who can play other positions adds a lot to a MLB bench.
  3. I personally like the left handed options we have internally. Rogers has put up excellent numbers against lefties and Darnell finished the season strong. Even pat dean as an option.
  4. I really like Weiters but not for that price to rent. This season has been cutie but we aren't winning a playoff series if we get there. I want nothing to do with renting a player unless it's for giving up $ or peanuts. Unless this trade comes with a signing of Weiters which it won't I'd just wait till the offseason and kick the tires on him then.
  5. The more I read the more I watch pinto the less I think he can be a big league catcher. Doesn't hit well unless given consistent ABs, doesn't throw out runners, doesn't call a good game and doesn't frame well. Anyone else like watching Hermann behind the plate? His swing looks solid but hasn't put anything together at the big league lvl. Perfect backup catcher. Hits left handed and can play multiple other positions. Thoughts?
  6. He isn't going to develop into a all star but he may find a notch. If he is a willy tevaras or Joey gathright those were serviceable 4 outfielders for a while
  7. The twins need to make some organizational decisions this winter. If they decide that Sano is going to stick at 3B they should package Plouffe for a pitcher. 3B is down around the league and Plouffe could help a lot of teams out. You go into 2015 with Escobar who earned a starting job at 3B and Santana who's value is best at SS at SS. Sano in AAA. When Sano is ready you bring him up to man 3B and Escobar plays a utility role. I don't see Plouffe as being any good as a utility guy off the bench I remember he looked awful in the outfield and he doesn't hit enough to play 1B. His value is at 3b and twins should move him while he has value. Guys who are above average players at a position and under team control for 3 more years have a lot of value throughout the league.
