    READ the question. How many teams have a better top 3. Never said anything about a "luxury of depth." Didn't even say our top three is BETTER. Just said not many are better.

    Weird article. Mentioned that he could play multiple positions but that an injury limited the way the organization used him. Did not elaborate. Is this some sort of exercise where we are supposed to do our own research?

    We was / is the fan base in general. WE will continue to do this right up to the first pitch of the season.

    I love how we spend the entire off-season fretting about the opening day roster and the opening day lineup and the opening day this and the opening day that. 26 guys make the opening day roster. Another 26 generally end up contributing to varying degrees. Our focus seems too narrow.

    Sadly, in the era of load management, 100 games does make damn close to a full season. Which is why you see rosters full of guys like Castro, Farmer and Austin Martin.

    might as well move him now since the day he becomes a free agent he's gone cuz he ain't sticking around with a team that never game him a shot to be a starter which would make him worth twice as much on the open market.

    While I have concerns about the long term viability of Jenkins or Rodriguez in CF my greater concern is that a lifetime of watching baseball and knowing the the history of the Twins and MLB in general tells me that if you stack two can't miss prospects next to each other, one misses.

    Sure. Take a guy with ZERO bullpen experience (Duran) and move him to the bullpen and then take a guy who floundered as a starter, found himself in the pen and make him a starter.

    "a 6’2” power pitcher with a triple-digit fastball, physics-defying splitter, wicked slider, and full team control. " So, basically, Jhoan Duran. Which means they'd piss him away in a "high leverage relief" role and when he became eligible for free agency, he'd vanish like a fart in the wind.
