    Except Polanco actually has a good approach at the plate, with approximately a 2/1 k/bb ratio for his career, compared to Buxton's 6/1. Polanco is just a much more polished hitter right now, so I don't worry about him at all.

    Smokey Joe and Polanco should DEFINITELY be swapped, given Mauer's .260 OBP and .213 OPS with 0 XBH. That screams bottom third hitter to me.

    So the Tigers took Cabrera and Upton out, when both are due up in the bottom of this inning. Given that they're both struggling, wouldn't you think another AB might be a good idea if you're the Tigers?
