For starters, I would go into next year committed to moving him out of his enshrined 3-hole.

Dropping guys who have experience on an MLB roster and calling up guys who don't isn't a sign of regrouping or finishing the season strong. It's a sign of defeat and I think many a fans are ready for it right now. Only a handful of games out of the wildcard in August might be a bit premature, but I think that's how a lot of us feel

Has anyone else's phone gotten to the point where you have to continuously fiddle with the charger in the charger port to get it to start charging? It would be like finally getting it to charge and then picking the phone up again. Or your nose finally stops bleeding and 'just to check' you rub your thumb across it and it starts bleeding again. dropping switch hitting again is something that would have to be his decision.

I know that they have been sitting right around .500 alongside the Twins this whole time and maybe this series alone made them appear god-like to us, but (especially) with their trade deadline additions, this team seems 100% legit to me. Their lineup is just ridiculous.

What is making their schedule difficult the rest of the way has less to do with who their opponents are and more to do with their downward trending quality of play.

If that were the case with Ryan and we knew that for sure if he were to come out and say those words exactly "I don't like the trade negotiation process which is why I don't do it" then that would make me really mad. It's like he knows how he could do his job better but elects not to. Banking on the farm system to eventually come through was okay when the season started. Day 1. That's because the Twins were at the very bottom of the barrel. The point of the game this year is to the win the World Series...this year. The goal isn't to win the next five years. Yeah, that would be great. But ultimately, it is always to win this year. When you are on the cusp of being in the playoffs, you buy in to that. Get in the playoffs and anything could happen. What's the fun in "Yeah..well.. we have some major holes and there are players available to fill those holes.. but the World Series? Pipe dream. Let's play it safe and hold on to our prospects and bench players."

One thing is for sure, he really stepped up and proved his worth today... ... ... Frustrating. I wish I posted this before today's game but something about trading for a guy that has major control issues and expecting him to come in and replace whoever as our 8th inning guy doesn't sit right. He's not an 8th inning guy IMO nor is he an 11th inning guy, apparently. -

I guess the supreme court did a lot to suppress that as a hot topic on the agenda during the election, but the fight for LGBT rights is not over by a long shot. Wouldn't you agree that things Candidate's have done in the past will be brought up? Certain stances, regardless of their current relevance, play a roll. Views on LGBT rights are still very important to the people right now, and when you have two different republican candidates with one saying: "The only outcome worse than this flawed, failed decision would be for the President and Congress, two co-equal branches of government, to surrender in the face of this out-of-control act of unconstitutional, judicial tyranny" and another saying: "I also believe that we should love our neighbor and respect others, including those making lifetime commitments. In a country as diverse as ours, good people who have opposing views should be able to live side by side." then that will play a big time roll. The man responsible for that first quote I believe will have to "change his viewpoint" to have a shot. I like to believe right now that America will not vote in someone who is openly against LGBT rights. Could be wishful thinking though. Then you have a guy like Donald Trump tweeting something like "Once again the Bush appointed SCJ John Roberts has let us down." John Roberts didn't even side with the majority vote, you big old buffoon.

Arguing politics is so pointless. All we are doing is mimicking actual politicians... and we hate them because all they do is argue politics. That being said... it is a lot of fun. Trump could run as a 3rd party candidate but that would be his biggest mistake. He could get 15% of the popular vote but he wouldn't get a SINGLE electoral vote. Obviously, those matter a little more. What do you guys think about the role of LGBT rights in this upcoming election? I personally think it will destroy some of the republican candidates. It will also force some of them to LIE to the public about their views in order to not get destroyed (Rick Perry, Bobby Jindal, Rick Santorum, Ted Cruz, Ben Carson, Mike Huckabee, Marco Rubio). You think any of them have a chance of winning this election if they spend the entire campaign process publicly outspoken against LGBT rights? (Probably specifically marriage).

Right now I like the sound of Rosario-Buxton-Hicks. Maybe Arcia gets shipped before the day is over. The Twins would suddenly have a pretty damn good defensive outfield. -
Minnesota professional sports already tested their luck with a swan song athlete coming back for a second go around. That would be Favre after the ever depressing 2009 NFC championship game and that following season was a train wreck

Let's watch McCutch over the next couple days and just imagine it is Buxton and not McCutchen and he is actually playing for the Twins and not the Pirates. So if McCutchen hits any home runs or anything in this series, it will count for the Twins? Either way, I think everybody agrees. I sincerely wanted to see Vaughn do good in a dramatic role. I like him and was hoping that this season could be his catapult into something other than the types of roles he has settled into as an actor. I really enjoyed the first season and this season so far has been pretty sub-par. SPOILERS: The scene in the streets at the end of episode 3? Was pretty awesome. Either way, I feel like right now we are thinking what in the world is happening and next thing you know we will be thinking oh, the season is over. okay.

Now this dilemma is under the assumption that Buxton is going to be exactly what we want/expect him to be. Meanwhile, Dozier, has earned that spot. Buxton doesn't kick out Dozier until he deserves it (if ever). AT WHICH POINT I would dabble between those two in the first and second hole and see what works

I agree about needing a shooter. A PURE shooter. That's one thing they are missing. There is a reason why Lebron loves to stack up on shooters and drag them with him wherever he goes (Mike Miller, James Jones, JR Smith). It is because you NEED them. The T-wolves currently are without a guy that is a hands down top-tier shooter. Other than that though, the makeup of this roster is pretty solid.

That sounds more like a generalization to me. Who might you be referring to when you speak of "inferior" and "superior" in regards to our current rotation? That's the entire issue, isn't it? -
If you could take his numbers and add in his positive attitude, respect he's garnered from the league and other players and his fan appreciation, he'd be a lock. I'm not entirely schooled on the matter, but I don't think those attributes will count. IMO, he is the type of guy and has the good enough career to deserve it. He's a great ambassador to the game and I believe he's the type of guy I'd want representing the MLB in the HoF. I have a hunter jersey and I always will. I know I'll be comfortable putting that on until the day I die. He's in the fans Hall of Fame, at least. For the record on Hunter, other than his good numbers this year, I think a lot more credit should go his way as to why we are currently over 500 and still expecting more. That game he got ejected? I'm convinced he was trying to single handedly reverse othe slump we got ourselves in at the beginning of June by firing up the team.

You are absolutely on the right track IMO. It starts with how kids are raised. From there I think there are thousands of things that start coming into play: Access to health care (physical and mental), poverty, environment, tolerance of attitudes, etc. Also, it has already been mentioned here, but just in case you were on the fence about watching it...Jon Stewart's piece was simply perfect. I happened to turn on the TV and catch it and I was literally moved by what he said and how he said it.

I'm not sure how many of you guys believe in good and bad "juju" but I don't think taking our top producing pitcher out of the rotation would be a very good for the team's "juju."
