  1. Brian Harper at catcher should not be overlooked for an honorable mention. Six seasons with the Twins, he did as much to win us the 1991 World Series as anyone. Led all Twins with his WS .381 b.a. and we would not have won game 7 without that electrifying 3-2-3 double play in the 8th between him and the famous wrestler Kent Hrbek.
  2. "it's a walk off laser to left' . . . Thanks Cory. What a lovely call!
  3. . . . and let's not forget third baseman Corey Koskie either. Another good Canadian hockey playing Twins great, who's career was cut too short by a concussion, and whose loss was also felt deeply on the field.
  4. Yes indeed . . . fondly remembering AL MVP and Twins Hall of Famer Justin Morneau. I still think about what might have been, but for his second base concussion injury.
  5. Wow! That clip of Lewis clutching his hamstring on a swinging strike is brutal. This does not look good.
  6. This is terrific. Thanks so much for curating and posting this.
  7. Great interview! You were obviously well prepared and Matt could read that and was open, forthcoming and in the mood to speak frankly and have some fun as a result. Great memories from a great Twins player. Thanks for taking the time you did to do this so well.
  8. This article and all the commentary focus primarily on his hitting and great background to prepare him for the big leagues. He must be able to field short or third I am guessing so I will take that as a given. Does anyone have anything to add about his arm strength to play these positions? Thanks
  9. Glad that I didn't pay money to buy a ticket to watch what is being sold as big league professional baseball. Little League pitching, Little League fielding and Little League base running. I played a ton of games like this when I was seven years old and watched my kids do the same. I am tired of watching this kind of baseball . . . especially twice in one week. Good grief!
  10. 63 years old and a lifelong Twins fan from Canada. I really enjoy your historical retrospectives Matt. Lots of great memories there which always get me thinking about those Twins players / announcers / supporting characters again.
