  1. You can't stop Rowdy Tellez, you can only hope to contain him...
  2. Followed by a passed ball, it's literally a scoring frenzy...
  3. A bases loaded walk to end the scoreless streak and a force out to pile on.... 😜
  4. In a season of bizarre line-ups, this is one of the more bizarre... And no Lewis, again. If he can't play everyday but Castro can, he should still be in AAA.
  5. So, are we going to allow MLB to stop at the electronic strike zone when so many judgment calls can go either way? Check swings and fair/foul calls on balls hit directly over the base have led to at least as many game changing events as missed ball or strike calls, but can not be challenged under the current replay system, but foul tips and hit by pitches can.

  7. And suddenly we are having players (and interpreters) being investigated for gambling on baseball....
  8. As I stated the other day, if Lewis can't play every day he should have stayed on the rehab assignment longer.
  9. Rocco needs to be a little like Boone here, the umpire is squeezing Paddack tighter and tighter and expanding the Yankees pitchers strike zone. Time to WTF the home plate umpire or this team go's limping into Pittsburgh not knowing what's a strike and what's a ball.
  10. Not usually one to complain about the umpires, but it's hard to hit when the zone expands 3"+ in every direction....
  11. The pitch shows high on Baseball Savant, and I trust that strike zone over the one MLB.com shows.
  12. He's missed calls on both sides, balls and strikes. Not saying things even out, each miss creates it's own situation, but yes, he's been bad tonight.
  13. Didn't see that coming....especially against the Yankees
  14. Not if Kepler catches it....it hit off the heel of his glove
  15. If Lewis can't play two days in a row the team should have kept him with St. Paul.
  16. Isn't that what we do on this site, pick and choose stats that fit our arguments 😉 I am in no way saying that Farmer is the answer at 2B, rather Julien is struggling as bad as Farmer is. A move had to be made and given the teams history, it wasn't going to be a DFA. Miranda, Castro and Julien are the infielders with options, two are playing well, one isn't. We'll see what happens over the next 3 weeks or so. The next decision will be what to do with Wallner if he keeps hitting. Larnach and Kirilloff both have options remaining, but both are hitting well right now. All 3 are LH and primarily play corner OF
  17. The poster originally stated Julien's last 103 PA's - this covered the time period since his last HR on 4/25. I compared Farmer's performance over the same TIME period, not PA's. Farmer is the short side of the platoon and has roughly half as many PA's as Julien over this same period.
  18. Farmer's slash line over this same period (since Julien's last HR on 4/25) is .255/.340/.383 (.723 OPS). NOT saying Farmer is the answer, but IF Julien is part of the future, he needs to figure things out now. A AAA reset may be just what he needs.
  19. Who still thinks Miranda should be sent down when Lewis comes back...
  20. Julien has 1 XBH for the entire month of May. LH platoon option - Julien has 13 hits in 70 AB's, 79 PA's. RH platoon option - Farmer has 8 hits in 32 AB's, 34 PA's This month, one half of this platoon is out-performing the other....
  21. DaShawn Keirsey to 7 day IL with calf strain.
  22. Farmer last 30 days - .250/.314/.344 (.658 OPS) 0 HR, 5 RBI, 7/2 K/BB Julien last 30 days - .186/.278/.200 (.478 OPS) 0 HR, 5 RBI, 29/9 K/BB Farmer's OPS+ the last 30 days is roughly 90, Julien's OPS+ is roughly 45. As the RH bat in the RH/LH platoon, he's doing his job.
  23. Gotta win 2 of 3 in a 3 game series and at least split the 4 game series, but, yes, a win tomorrow would be yuge....
