The Giants have benched Daniel Jones. Not really a surprise. But, man, being a good QB is freaking hard.

I thought this was wild, although it will obviously change. Right now, the three wild card teams in the NFC - MN, GB, and Wash - have a better combined record than the NFC 2-4 seeds - Philly, AZ, and Falcons.

Eh, it's the NFL. I'm not really overly concerned although I missed 6 of the quarters so maybe I'm not as scarred. I never thought we were losing to Indy, despite a bad first half and when I turned today's game off, I was pretty sure we were the far better team. Through 10 games, we're 4th in record and 4th in point deferential. I think that's generally a better indicator for the team (minus a major injury (Miami is clearly a better team with Tua)). I think the big thing is a healthy Cashman but we'll have a better sense of how much that is him v. bad teams but the defense with him looks like it's just on another level. It's way early but looks like the Vikings will likely draft in the 20s somewhere and early draft boards have some solid DL and IOL in that range.

I think his salary cap hit basically made him untradeable anyway. Man, if Cincy had a few more wins, Burrow would be the MVP frontrunner.

I think det, kc, and bills are the class of the league. Thought ravens too but somehow they keep losing games they should win. The next tier is us, Philly, ravens, and Washington, I guess?

Hopefully we can see the offense break out and we get a really nice, easy win.

I think they are the classic punchers chance playoff team. They aren't winning it all, but in one game, they could destroy anyone.

You had this team DOA before the season even started and now you're predicting a playoff loss. Way to move the goalposts. And now you're complaining that we didn't keep Kirk. I think you've demonstrated pretty effectively that you really don't know what you're talking about. And, really, don't bother with the "I only call it likes I see it" or "I'm sorry if my truth upsets folks" follow up posts, we've already read them.

Going to the twin cities con tomorrow so will miss the game. I assume that means we will play a perfect game.

I can't believe Burrow didn't get those calls.

They should win this, especially with Lawrence out. (I think he'd be better on a different team). Our defense will eat their o-line and Jones will be running for his life. I think this will be the nice, easy win that we need. Let's say something like 35-10 with a big day from Jefferson.

Other than being turned into a speed bump on the one play, I thought he played pretty good. We did run for 133 yards, most of it up the middle. Ingram had a bad first half but looked better in the second half.

Quick thoughts - 1) I thought the offense did a good job of getting other receivers/TEs involved. Opened up the secondary a bit. Well called game by KOC who really is a very aggressive play caller. I thought for sure we'd run the ball and make Indy use their time outs but that play action pass to the left, wow. Heck of a call. 2) Darnold - he is what he is. I'm not as down on him as others. He'll make some head scratching throws and he doesn't always get to his other reads. But he's also playing pretty confidentially and has a really strong arm. He made some legit throws all season. His season stats are basically identical to Cousins in Atlanta. 3) We're 6-2 with the 6th best point differential (Bills, Pitt, Baltimore, Lions, and Washington ahead of us). Take a moment to appreciate that. 4) Defensive depth - we have some good depth at edge/dl but Cashman is really hard to replace. Hopefully he comes back soon and stays healthy. The defense looks a lot better with him out there. Also, Dallas Turner had his best game for us. Looked close on several plays. Glad to see him getting more playing time.

Theilen is cooked. I wouldn't trade anything for him. Frankly, I think we're more or less set. If we could upgrade RG or add an elite DL, sure, but I don't think those are likely and this team is really set up well for the next few seasons.

Missed a lot of the early games but nice to see Branch get ejected for a dirty hit.

He's been in a few plays but nothing big.

So, two missed field goals, an interception in the end zone, and a fumble* returned for a touch down. We're lucky to still be in it, frankly. *I'm ok with the refs picking up that flag but you know they would've called that if it was against Mahomes or Rodgers.

Smith looks old and Cashman is missed.

God, I hope not. It really feels like they are either 1) peaking way too early or 2) a juggernaut that can't be stopped. Hoping for #1.
