  1. I have no idea what we're talking about so I'll leave this right here and show myself out.
  2. Agree that the Rams are the best fit for Darnold. Raiders will have a ton of cap space (over 100m). I wonder if the Colts want to move on from Richardson? They do have some talent on the roster. And the Giants will be looking, too. Not sure how teams view Saunders and Ward.
  3. I will say that I think there could be one way they keep him - if Jefferson goes to the mat for him, the Vikings could blink. Then they'd probably keep McCarthy for a bit to increase his trade value but I don't think they can have Darnold on a long contract and a top 10 pick sitting on the bench behind him. But Darnold has a cannon. I think his receivers like that.
  4. He's gone. He signed a one-year deal, hoping that he could parlay that into a good payday. He'll do that. Some team is going to pay him 5/50m+, especially if we have a deep playoff run. I don't think he'll get Mayfield money, I think he'll get more. But a lot of posters on here don't think Mayfield can win a Super Bowl so why would we want that? We have cap space - finally - and extended Jefferson understanding that our QB would be, relatively, cheap. I don't think the team will change that plan. Keep McCarthy, fix the interior o-line. I also think that part of the Vikings brain trust thinks that McCarthy is their guy. He was a top 10 pick for a reason. Remember, there was a lot of smoke about the Vikings wanting him prior to the draft and our connections to the Michigan staff.
  5. Tucker's season has been painful. I think he's cost them two games. I think he's the GOAT for kickers so I can't imagine they'd just part with him, especially for a journeyman, but non-emotionally, it does make some sense.
  6. Ravens might be there in a year or two, too.
  7. I still can't believe the Ravens have two losses to the Raiders and Browns.
  8. I hope he kills another franchise next year. If he retires, he'll probably be put in Trump's cabinet as director of the interior or something.
  9. Nice win
  10. Jets lose to another former Jets QB, Rodgers throws a pick six to a DL, and they extend the longest active losing season streak. Good day.
  11. Their safeties are killing us
  12. Man, we had a three and out and now this.
  13. Baker is a freaking stud
  14. I was hoping KOC would have ways to get Jefferson going early today.
  15. Did jones have fumbling issues in GB?
  16. There are too many Manning commercials
  17. We should win.
  18. Gotta say, Gophers had a better season than I thought they'd have. I'm impressed. Not sure what bowl they'll go to but Fleck did a good job this year.
  19. Hey all, General thread but I'll start with a specific ask as I break my brain on the internet. My son told me he wanted Warhammer 40k minis for Christmas. Anyone play warhmamer 40k? It seems to be a huge thing for people that aren't me. Does it matter what I get or are some things not usable with the current edition (apparently they are on the tenth edition?)?
  20. Man, the bears honestly could have won the last four games. What a change that would have been.
  21. I mean, you could make the argument. 2022 was a pretty good year and he won coach of the year. Since then, Jones has gone backwards and the Giants have gone 8-20. Who knows?
  22. Mullens could be better. For his career, he has the better comp % and better rating. He does throw interceptions at twice the rate but still, he could be better. But Jones has only played for the Giants with bad coaching and Giant QBs tend to have worse numbers partly because they play in the elements. Eli Manning has a lower comp % and rating than Mullens, too. But Jones is three years younger than Mullens and I'm ok with the team taking a look for next year.
  23. I lived in the Philly area (Wayne and Langhorne) for six or seven years in the 2000s. Eagle fans were just the worst.
  24. Well, that's why a good backup is so important and why this look at Jones makes sense for next year as well.
  25. I don't think it's possible. If he has a deep run, he's going to get a 50m/avg contract from someone - Giants, Raiders, Steelers, Jets(HA!), Browns, Rams (really good fit), and others need a QB. We've gotten out of salary cap hell and drafted our QB of the future in McCarthy who will be a lot cheaper, allowing the team to build around him and make upgrades. I don't think the team can deviate from those plans. I also, personally, think McCarthy is going to be a very good QB in KOC's system.
