Yep, articles like this are popping up. From a Raiders blog - https://raiderswire.usatoday.com/2024/12/30/raiders-first-offseason-move-trade-for-vikings-qb-sam-darnold-jj-mccarthy/ "Should the Raiders pick at eight, sending that pick to Minnesota for McCarthy would be preferable to attempting to trade up to get either Sanders or Ward — a move that could potentially cost multiple first round picks. The Raiders could even sweeten the deal by tossing in a late round pick or future mid-round pick and it would probably still be worth it." I can't find the link but a Cleveland blog suggested McCarthy for Myles Garrett. Yeah, I think the economy is going to be ... iffy for a bit. But I'm not smart enough to time the market and I'm relatively young(ish) so I'll just buy when I have money and not sell until I need money. That's been my most successful investing strategy overall.

I cannot watch SNF with Colinsworth. It's really unwatchable.

A few thoughts 1) This game wasn't as close as the final score indicated and not worth worrying about. Once we were up by 17 in the fourth, it got really hard for GB to pull out the win. They needed to score, 3 and out, score, 3 and out, score. That's really, really hard to do for any team (unless your the Pats in a Superbowl against the Falcons or something). They got the first 3 and out but only because of a dubious holding call. They couldn't get another one. 2) I think Darnold was a bit nervous, he sailed a few key throws and nearly under threw Ackers on the last play. Hopefully this game really helps his confidence. 3) Flores' defense confused a really good QB for most of the game. 4) KOC is KOC. I think he could improve a bit on play calling/situational awareness but we don't get to 14-2 without him. 14-2 and #1 seed next week. Enjoy the ride!

Good win even with two missed field goals and a dropped TD. Score was closer than the game was. KOC can be ... scary on play calling sometimes.

We can be the #1 seed. They don't blow this at home. I think it'll be closer than the final score suggests but vikes win, something like 31-20..

I think he'll require 45m or more each season. Let's see how this plays out - the next two games are huge - but I've gone from "no way he comes back" to 60/40 he'll be back. Minimum, i think we tag him and trade him. I don't think we will let him walk. The vikes could resign him and hold McCarthy for a bit. Let him play most of the preseason games to increase his value. But agree with Levi that the vikes have other areas to address. I think bringing back Murphy is nearly as important.
