  1. More progress...they put up 3 runs and didn't get swept by the Miami ******* Marlins.
  2. The HR in the first also came after Lee and Castro failed to turn a pretty tailor made DP ball hit directly at Lee.
  3. In the Twins defense, I, personally, think it very unfair that MLB let Tarik Skubal pitch against our boys four days in a row. I mean, come ON.
  4. Today's fun fact: the Twins DFA'd Ronny Henriquez to make room for Harrison Bader on the 40-man this past winter. https://www.mlb.com/news/harrison-bader-twins-contract Other pitcher options for removal included Adams, Canterino, Castellano, Headrick, Tonkin, and Topa. (To be fair, I'm not sure what rules were in effect for Rule 5 pick Castellano. I dont know if he could have been returned early.) They viewed Henriquez-who they targeted in the Garver trade, had modest success in MLB in 2024, with a big arm and loads of potential-as the least useful for 2025. Some wounds are self inflicted.
  5. Its 415 to dead center at Coors Field. Balls fly farther. How the hell isn't a 430 foot fly ball at sea level a HR at Coors Field?
  6. Wallner's 430 foot fly ball would be a HR in "29/30" parks? Where isn't that a HR? //searching for something to say about this game/season/team/manager
  7. Tonkin, Topa were easy choices over Henriquez. Really stupid. I mean, they traded FOR Henriquez. He had performed reasonably well in the show. Big arm.
  8. It was Bader. The club’s 40-man roster was full before either move. The Twins cleared up a spot for Coulombe when they traded utility player Michael Helman to the Cardinals for cash on Thursday. To make room for Bader, they designated right-hander Ronny Henriquez for assignment. https://www.mlb.com/news/harrison-bader-twins-contract
  9. Nope. Twins removed Henriquez to make room on 40 man for Bader. Not that there weren't better candidates for DFA, but still. It was Bader.
  10. FYI, Sonny Henriquez was removed from the Twins 40 man to make room for...Harrison Bader.
  11. Concur. Similarly, I'd rather get kneed in the groin than get a sharp stick in my eye.
  12. Yeah, very clever to get that 110 MPH rocket directly at Castro for the 4U DP.
  13. Its complicated. $10M mutual option for 2026. https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2025/02/twins-to-sign-harrison-bader.html
  14. SELL!!! He's actually a pretty decent 4th OFer, but what good does he do this team?
  15. I dont know for sure, but I dont think thats accurate. That's a special situation covered under the standard MLB player's contract. In virtually every employment situation, contracts must be honored no matter if the fired employee accepts further employment.
  16. We dont know when the Twins renewed his contract. We only know when the beat reporter's report came out. For that matter, AFAIN the Twins haven't confirmed (or denied) the report.
  17. Serious question-what does "sell the team" have to do with anything? That's a decision made by ownership. Long before the season started, BTW.
  18. I'd imagine Tingler would finish out the season. The current Twins FO is loath to make any kind of bold move. No way they hire anyone before the offseason.
  19. Justa wut in tarnation are you a-sayin, matthhh-yeww?
